I?ve heard great things about The Southern V so I decided to stop by. I got a text as soon as my order was ready and it was... brought out to my car. this was the best meal i?ve had in a long time. i?m always so thankful to have delicious vegan options when i travel. the... nashville hot chicken sandwich and the mac n cheese were my favorites. everything was online ordering and curbside delivery onlybut the food was still just as delicious and the service was so friendly and fast. can?t wait to come back again i couldn?trecommend the southern v enough. Hands down in the top 5 vegan restaurants we?ve tried. The hot ?chikn? strips were amazing and the sides were exceptional. We... had mac and cheese, turnip greens and baked beans. I had a chicken fried steak with mushroom gravy that was so good. Would haveloved some mashed potatoes with it, but a minor point. Even though it was like a 95 degrees that day and and we were sittingoutside in a sliver of shade, we didn?t want to rush a single bite. A bit out of the way, but so worth the effort. I stopped here on a whim recently and left pretty happy. First and foremost, I appreciate the steps they are taking during Covid... to keep everyone safe while still provide quality service. As far as the food goes, I got a breakfast biscuit (incredible), thecheesesteak (very good), and some chicken tenders (solid). For sides I got Mac and cheese, coleslaw and a bag of chips. The Macand cheese was ok, it had an interesting flavor but I did like it enough to eat it. Felt the same way about the coleslaw. Ithought the breakfast sandwich was incredible. The biscuit was fluffy and crispy on the outside, the egg flavor was on point andthe the cheese was some of the better vegan cheese I?ve had. The vegan ham was also really good. I haven?t had actual ham in 20years, but the flavor of the vegan ham was what I very vaguely remember actually ham to taste like. The cheesesteak was alsoreally good. My wife and I are both from Philly so we judge cheesesteaks pretty harshly. I would give it a 3.8 outta 5. Thechicken tenders were good, I liked the spice, but texture was a little strange. They weren?t really crispy enough for the amountof breading on them. The actual ?chicken? part was dense and the outside was just thick breading.
