The hostess was so nice, i though she was our server! When Trent came to the table he was a perfect waiter! Next time I come I... will ask him to get me whatever he recommends for all courses. I had a French white wine, the Double Pork chop, and the pouchedapple for dessert, all his suggestions! Was a great, cohesive and delicious meal! We ventured down to the gulch area in search of a late dinner. We chose the 404 kitchen because of the reviews. The kitchen... seating area was upstairs, and it blew us away. The atmosphere was amazing. Brandon was our server and his advice was great! ! !We had the boar boudin as an appetizer. Then, we shared the tri-tip, twice baked potato and jicama salad. My nephew has beensearching for the best cheeseburger in Nashville. After one bite, he told us that the 404 cheeseburger was the #1. Both sidesare family style. The tri tip was very tender and did not require a knife. The mushrooms, pearl onions, and glaze was magical.We dipped some of our Parmesan fries in the glaze and wow!! This place was so delicious! The waiter, Brandon, was verypersonable and worked very hard. The other staff was super attentive too. I would highly recommend. I'm so grateful we stoppedat the 404 kitchen. Read more
Wow. What can we say… Pauline our server was incredible from start to finish. Attentive, lovely suggestions on wine, and our... entrees. Very friendly and outgoing. And can we talk about the food? Probably the best meals hand down we’ve had in a verylong time. Every course from the watermelon cappacio to the cavatelli and red snapper were EXQUISITE. Very unique with complexand very enjoyable flavors. Also???? The WHISKEY FLIGHT HELLO, how could I forget- the three best whiskey pours of brown liquorI’ve ever had. I cannot wait to return. 404 kitchen is fabulous, my husband ordered a pour of bourbon, they have an extensive list. Pricing is higher than we've seen at... other places but the selection is huge. I had their take on an old fashioned, it was okay I would stick with a standard oldfashioned. We shared the trip tip it's massive plenty for 4 people I would say especially if you get an appetizer and dessert. Read more
Our party was recommended here by a Nashville native and we were thoroughly impressed. Unable to get a reservation hours before... our dinner (we arrived around 6:30p) we walked in and were informed that we could order at the bar and have our meals brought tous at the bar or in their outdoor seating area. We sat outside and still got great service. Our food came out in good time andthe dishes were tasty. The steak and ham plate were my favorite. And I loved that the ham plate came with tiny biscuits as well!They were so cute. While We did not get to experience the dine in service upstairs, we had a great experience on the outdoorpatio. I also asked the staff how early in advance reservations should be made for this restaurant which the hostess informedme that booking a day or two in advance for weekend and larger parties is recommended. She also mentioned smaller parties havean easier time getting seating if that’s not the case. Read more
This place was recommended by someone we met at Big Machine Distillery. The biscuits with whiskey jam and bentons ham were... amazing! There’s few times I’ve ordered a double bone in pork chop and had it cooked perfectly and this was one of them. Not dried out, juicy, and very little fat on the chop as you can see before and after. The burger my wife got was also greatalthough she felt it was a tad heavy on the fries which I agree with but not worth losing a star over. Read more
My expectations were high going in based on the reviews. The food was good. The steak was excellent. The first course was great.... They definitely need more vegan options. The drink menu was limited. The single glass wines were ok; the extensive selection ofwines were only offered by bottle. The dining room noise was loud we couldn’t hear our party talking. Read more
If you love great food, this is the place for you. The shrimp and grits were creamy, smoky and had a tiny hint of 'heat'. Our... waiter was fun and knowledgeable. With his deep New Orleans accent and southern sensibility, he guided us through anunforgettable 'eating tour' of the menu. We will be back. Read more
