Great Cajun food. Went there trying to find a place to eat on Thanksgiving (bad idea). It was open and the food was great. Real... family/neighborhood restaurant vibe. Hidden gem. Read more

Second time. Both times everything was really good. Had a shrimp poboy first time and today had catfish plate. Fries and slaw is... good and homemade tarter sauce is a hit to. Glad to have this spot in East Nashville Read more

I hate to say it, but $13 for the half shrimp poboy was too steep... The flavor was great and the gumbo I got was excellent, but... that sandwich was paltry. I\'ll be coming back, but probably won\'t be ordering a poboy.\n\nEdit: came back, still three stars. For $22 (including tax and tip) you get a small cup of gumbo and half a poboy. Read more

Must have Cajun favorites! Do yourself a favor and come for dinner and have a frozen Painkiller to go along with your Po Boy.... I’ve been in a few times and they never disappoint! End your meal with some Bread Pudding for a 10/10 dining experience inEast Nash. Keep up the good work, Spicy Boys! Read more

Very solid gumbo! Not afraid to add some heat too which I like. The roast beef loaded fries were the perfect hangover food too.... Staff were friendly and the space was comfortable. Only complaint was the kitchen must be small or understaffed. Took 45 mins toget our food on a slow day. However, the wait was worth it. Read more

An hidden gem, but not hidden at all. We were standing in line at Mas Tacos and happened to glance to the right and noticed... “Spicy Boys” my friend began doing what we do best, lookup reviews while she proceeded to tell me it was Cajun and Louisianathemed. I was sold on that seeing as how I love New Orleans and a big LSU fan. So we left Mas Tacos and gave Spicy Boys a try.Let me just say, you won’t regret it.\n\nAfter, talking to the owners we were informed that they hadn’t been operating long. It’s definitely a new establishment and one worth trying. Everything we ate was really good. I wish they would’ve hadbeignets available, but I will definitely be back to try a few more of their menu items.\n\nIf you’re looking for a greatchill spot with good eats and great company this is THE PLACE for you. Sarah, Justin, Joe, and the guy behind the bar (hate Iforgot his name) are phenomenal people. I hope this business continues to prosper!! Read more

The food is great. It’s exactly what I expect out of a po’boy. The sausage was great. The pricing and atmosphere are what... knock this down for me.\n\nWhat you see in my photos is the “whole” gulf shrimp sandwich. The shrimp are small, when I read‘gulf’ shrimp, I generally expect a larger shrimp. This sandwich is $22 with no sides. For that price point I expect it tobe brimming with shrimp, or to have some sort of side. The half sandwich is just one of these, and is $13. Again, nosides.\n\nThe andouille sausage has fantastic flavor, but in my opinion, one sausage is not worth $7. Should be closer to a $5price point for this small portion.\n\nIt’s hard for me to justify these prices when across the street I can get a fantasticburger (full size) and tots for $10.\n\nMy last few photos is the drink menu. Again, fairly high price point for abar/restaurant that’s not claiming to be high end.\n\nI did not take any photos of the interior. It’s an odd mix of arenovated house and a new addition that screams “new nashville”.\n\nOverall, I expected a quaint southern Louisiana styleplace. Instead, I was met with a traditional menu paired with a modern nashville aesthetic and pricing. There just seems like alarge disconnect between the food and vibe.\n\nTo get a half sandwich (no side) and a cocktail from here will set you back over$30, pre-tax. Read more
