This place was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! Came here on a weekday for lunch and every table was... filled. Chirashi bowl was only $20 and was a great deal with the amount and quality of fish you get. Service was also great! Read more

This place was way better than I expected. I wanted to go somewhere else but that place was closed. I came here instead because... I wanted sushi. The Cajun Roll was the perfect amount of spicy and flavor I would have ordered a second if I didn't arrive soclose to closing. The Daisy Roll was beautiful, as seen in the photo, and tasted even better. I will be back for sure. Read more

This place has the best sushi I've ever had anywhere, and by far the best in Nashville. Super authentic, and a lovely Japanese... grocery attached. The hype is real. Absolutely delicious! Picture is of a White Bridge roll and a Rising Sun roll; my favoritethat I didn't get tonight is the Sunflower roll. Read more

Wish I could give more stars, but the sushi just isn't that good. Every time I ask someone where the best sushi in town in they... tell me Sonobana. The place feels very authentic (as in it's not also a Thai/Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese fusion place like everyother 'sushi' spot in town) and the staff is very friendly. The pick up order was ready right on time and they even labeled allthe boxes so I knew what was in each. Awesome! But at the end of the day: the sushi isn't that good. It's just not. I ate thereonce in the restaurant and it wasn't worth the price. Then I ordered a ton to take home and give it a second time. Same thing.Just not that good. I'm glad people like this place and I hope they're very successful because seems like a great group workingthere, but I won't be back and my search for good sushi in Nashville continues.... Udon (especially the broth) was great but the fatty tuna was just insane and definitely as good as people say it is. That fish... specifically was expensive but so worth it especially around here where you don?t see it much. Staff was also friendly and thewait seemed to move pretty quick. Read more

I've been coming here at least once a month for almost 3 years now. Not only is the sushi excellent, but there is a large... variety of traditional Japanese dishes including chasoba, natto, ochazuke, and dons. The grocery store has so many Japanesegoodies that is hard to find anywhere else in Nashville -- sushi grade cuts of fish and octopus, frozen oden kits, Sonobanatempura mix, umeboshi plums, masago, homemade Japanese desserts like mochi and dango, and so much more! They even have freshshiso leaves, which is incredible because I haven't found any other grocery store that sells it. Read more

If I lived here, I would be a regular! Fantastic prices. We had 4 rolls plus a couple pieces of sushi with a beer and total was... $50. Everything was good. Not five star fresh and best cuts of sushi, but good. I would highly recommend. Gotta love a sushipicture menu too. Read more

We had a really great dinner here. Everything that we ordered was very good, as was the service. We were actually surprised when... we got the bill that it was as affordable as it was. We will definitely be back. My fiance used to live in Japan and this is theclosest we've found for authentic Japanese food in the area. The miso soup is especially flavorful; it's probably the best I'vehad. Definitely try it! Read more
