Nice atmosphere, unfortunately the two entrees we ordered were not good. The miso ramen with tofu was overly greasy and tasted... like old frying oil. The Kung Pao with tofu contained an overly sweetened sauce with little flavor; there were no peanuts and nospice in it which is the highlight of the dish for me. Went on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The food was all delicious. The service was attentive without being... intrusive or obsequious. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming to families without making it a French fries and chickenfingers place. It definitely feels like a neighborhood restaurant, a sort of place where everone knows your name. I willdefinitely be going back. Read more

I went last night at 9:15 to eat because the advertised closing time was 9:30. I walked in and as the ?host? came up to me it... ticked over 9:16. I asked to be seated and he rudely said they stop serving at 9:15 but they locked the doors at 9:30 (therewere still people eating). I said please it?s 9:16 can?t we order and he continued to be rude and declined. Seriously this guyneed some customer service skills. The sushi may be fabulous but I will never go because of this treatment. There are lots ofother sushi places in town. I?ll go to any of them before this one. Went to Hawkers Asian Street Food a mile down the road. They got my $60. And we?re so nice and happy. Great service there. Read more

Not your typical sushi restaurant. We were happy to be able to walk to this popular restaurant and enjoy a fabulous whiskey sour... cocktail hand shaken by the conscientious bartender and Kirin Ichiban. The menu included sushi and fabulous other choices. Ithoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian udon - the broth was AMAZING! I only wish I knew how they created this delicious meal. This new sushi spot in East Nashville has a lot of great sushi dishes to choose from and I loved the rainbow roll. I wish they... had a larger drink menu. But they are in a great location to walk to other places for a drink after you eat sushi! Their Brusselsprouts were surprising great and worth ordering to share. Read more
