Probably the best brunch in Nashville. Everything I've had here has been delicious, and the patio is a great environment. It's a... bit hard to find, but worth it. The beer selection is fairly limited at brunch (2) and one of the options is horrendouslyoverpriced ($22/500mL), but the food is incredible. Highly recommended. Read more

Unmatched ambiance. The music, service, vibe - made for a quaint, cozy, romantic, yet elevated experience! This is a place for... wine lovers. Only critique is that some of the flavors were overpowering, vs complimentary. The duck was dry and there was noSzechuan flavor to be tasted. The crudo was too sweet to allow for the flavor of the fish to shine. Read more

Amazing little cafe and a welcomed respite for foodies. Atmosphere, service, food and wine selection were all fantastic. The... building is super sweet and truly feels like home with indoor dining and an outdoor back patio option. We started with thecharcuterie and bread. The bread with burnt honey butter was phenomenal and a must have. House made pickled and fermentedveggies perfectly complimented the meat and cheese selections. We sampled and chose a light and delightful red wine that pairedperfectly with the whole fish entree. Dessert was delicious as well. The bergamot and creme fraiche tart is a nice alternativeto a traditional key lime pie. The menu is meant to be shared so I recommend ordering a few items from each section for thetable. Our waitress made excellent recommendations and we truly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Highly recommendif you are looking for something near The Gaylord. Read more

Brunch only review: I was pretty pleased with my experience at Lou. They have a nice variety of simple foods that taste... good. At brunch, getting their buckwheat pancake is a must. You cannot pass up on this as it is thick, soft, and topped withdelicious chocolate maple syrup and malt butter. I also recommend the crispy potatoes. These potatoes are extremely crispy andserved with a savory sauce on top. The crispy rice was really nice as well - served with avocado and kale, it’s a simple dishbut the texture of the crispy rice is fun to eat. The apple tartine is a nice piece of bread with a generous portion of creamy, sheep cheese (very similar in taste to goat cheese) and topped with green apples. To offset the bitterness of the green apples,a very subtle drizzle of honey is added. The Lima beans dish is pretty impressive. These basics Lima beans are stewed withbitter greens and served as is. Really straightforward flavors. Make sure you get desserts. All their cakes and cheesecakes andice creams are wonderful. Do NOT pass up on that. The outdoor patio seating is nice, and staff will bring you heaters to helpwarm up the area. It can still get pretty cold. Make sure you make a reservation online well in advance! Read more

My wife and I visited Lou during our trip to Nashville and had pretty high expectations based on reviews we read. It didn't... disappoint and we ended up coming back the next morning for brunch. Lilly our server was amazing. She was so helpful withhelping my wife navigate through the menu since she is gluten free. She even brought us a menu she marked up to show us whatitems were gluten free naturally and what items were gluten friendly only. After we ordered rhey came back to ask if my wife hadceliac and or if she was gluten free as a preference, which was really kind of her to check with us. They know that it canreally make a difference with someone who has celiac. For brunch we sat at the bar because they were already booked up withreservations. So I recommend anyone coming without a reservation to arrive right when they open so you can get a seat at the bar(only 4 seats available). The menus here look to change every week so what we ordered may not be available when you come orcheck online, but when I emailed the restaurant a few days ahead of time and they were to send me an email with both of thebrunch and lunch menus. Dinner: We ordered the crispy rice (GF) and golden beets & avocado (GF) for appetizers. Whole stuffedbucksnort farms trout (GF) and rack of lamb (GF) for our entrees. Chicory honey cake for myself (not GF) and hibiscus leafsorbet (GF). Everything was delicious, creative, and we'll put together. I really felt like they were meals that top chefs puttogether on chopped. One recommendation is to get the chorizo on the crispy rice, it really added to the dish. Brunch: Japanesepumpkin & potato hash (GF), chocolate maple & buckwheat pancakes (GF), seasonal fruit, fennel rubbed bacon. Wow the potato hashwas good. It had a whole layer of cheese melted and hardened over the hash and added a great texture and flavor to the wholedish. Also the pancakes... So fluffy and delicious it's no wonder they tell us it's a customer favorite here. We Read more
