Came here after numerous suggestions that this place was a "must try". So a reservation was made for 8:30pm and we had an above... average size party (13). We arrived promptly at 8 hoping to grab a drink and relax while the rest of the party arrives and therestaurant can set our table up. Unfortunately the hostess informed us that our table(s) were not ready and we were not allowedto hang by the bar. They were more than happy to get us drinks outside in the sweltering heat but we weren't allowed in till830. Needless to say it wasn't how we envisioned our night to start. Finally at 850 we were allowed in and the fun began. Thefood WAS delicious and the service was impressive. Very attentive service. The first and second courses were both delicious. We loved what we had so much that we didn't have room... for dessert. The food is fresh and creative. The space is open and feels light and modern, which is not quite what you'd expectconsidering the classic architecture of the place. Husk was highly recommended to us on our trip to Nashville and we are very glad we went. The food was phenomenal. We split a few... plates and tried the pimento cheese and benne seed wafers, the trout, the dry aged beef, and an order of the delicious cheddarbiscuits! Went out to eat last night. Had some amazing food! Some of the best food I've had out at a restaurant. The chicken was probably... the juiciest chicken served at a restaurant I've ever tried. The pork medallion with a beet medallion and apple slaw wasfantastic. I even tried beef tartar, and it was delicious! Right down to the dessert, vinegar pie and chocolate sorbet.Everything was delicious! To top it off the service was amazing! One of my favorite restaurants in town by far. Highly recommend the plate of southern vegetables and biscuits, whatever else you... choose to order. Very fresh ingredients, great sharable apps, and all in a very nice older building. As far as the proteins go,my favorite is the pork followed by the trout, both of which I think are better than most other restaurants. The shrimp andgrits are good as well. The beef is pretty good, but not necessarily my favorite: it isn't bad, but there isn't really anythingunique or creative about it compared to other dishes. Servers' recommendations have always been on point for what to order. Allof the apps are phenomenal. I personally liked the pig ear lettuce wraps the best because that isn't something I see on menusvery often. Ribs are also stellar, I've gotten them as a main before. Read more
