After my wife and I discovered Hugh-Baby's a couple of years ago on a trip through Nashville, it has been at the top of our... "Must Eat" list whenever we find ourselves in the Music City. It's also on our list of recommendations whenever people ask usabout places to eat in Nashville. They never fail to feed you well?until this time. First of all, let me say that there wasabsolutely nothing wrong with the customer service. As always, the staff was genuinely glad to see you and you were welcomed andserved as if you were the only person there. If only the food had felt the same way. Our two cheeseburgers were ok, butdefinitely not up to their standards. Hamburgers fresh off the line should never be lukewarm, but there they were. We bothagreed that the burgers weren't anything more special than running through your typical hamburger franchise, but at a morepremium price tag. The real weak spot of our order was the fries. For more than $2 for a fairly small bag of fries, they areusually a standout of the menu's offering. On this trip, though, they were limp, lukewarm and lifeless. We didn't even finishthe bag. Such a waste of carbs. This was definitely a ding in our book. Hugh-baby's isn't necessarily knocked off our list, butthere's now an asterisk by the name. Read more
These are the best double cheeseburgers and hot dogs I have ever eaten. The service is very fast and our order was as we ordered... it. The chili is amazing and is delicious. I woukd recommend this place to anyone in the area that is looking for comfort food. Read more
Would've given 5 stars but the fries didn't seem fresh. Great double bacon cheeseburger. Fast and friendly service.

The mushroom burger was very good! The chili cheese fries were ok. The chili wasn't all that good to me. Maybe I'm just used to... chili with lots more ingredients than just finely chopped meat. The smoked bologna sandwich was very good! The strawberry shaketasted like they used a strawberry sugar syrup because it was very sweet and wasn't a natural strawberry taste. There is agreat children's play area outside with a neat little slide. Overall I definitely eat here again, there are other items on thethat I want to try. Read more
