Delicious chicken!! I had the wingettes in the hot flavor scale. The crunch of the breading was perfect and the chicken itself... was cooked very well. The spice level HOT was on the hotter side but I still enjoyed the wings. It came with fries as wellwhich were good. The atmosphere is actually really nice with the crowd and music. Food came out at an appropriate time and youcould tell it had just come out of cooking. The employees were very nice and helpful during our outing. Would definitelyrecommend! Read more

From New England you hear "YOU GOTTA TRY THE HOT CHICKEN IN NASHVILLE!" So we asked our waiter where's the best place for hot... chicken. Immediately he said "Helen's hot chicken! You gotta go with the Hella tenders!" And so the next day we headed toHelen's, posed for pics at the outside mural, then went inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got the Hella hotTenders with a waffle as a side, a hot wing with beans, and a hot tender with slaw. We left with no leftovers. Not a scrap. Theheat the Hella Tenders brought was amazing you could feel it like a warm campfire that got just a little to warm the longer yousat by it. But it was amazing none the least. The wings were outstanding. And adding the waffle covered in butter and syrup tothat spicy chicken bite... otherworldly. Just go. Do yourself a favor and just GO to Helen's hot chicken. Love supporting a black owned business! The cashier was really nice despite it being crowded in there. I ordered 2 catfish... baskets and a chicken sandwich. It came in about 15 minutes or so. My brother said the spice level was very accurate. One thingI will say is that my catfish, although the flavor was great, was lacking in crispiness. This place is so good!!! A local recommended it to us over Haddie B?s for a hot chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. For... $14 we got a fried catfish sandwich, hot chicken sandwich and can of Coke! Service was super friendly and fast- we didn?t haveto wait in line and got there about 5pm. There is outdoor style seating. Both sandwiches were served HOT and FRESH and soAMAZING!! Chicken breast was very moist and juicy. Catfish has a crunchy cornmeal crust- so good! They have four styles of hotsauce, I tried ?HOT? and it wasn?t too super hot. I will be back to try some other menu items. Read more

In my opinion, the best quality hot chicken in the Nashville area. Everything is cooked fresh. The tenders were the juiciest... I?ve had during my Nashville hot chicken run. I got the ?Nuclear? level spiciness, which is off the menu. It?s not too spicy atfirst, but it creeps up on you. I highly, highly recommend this place. Read more

Visting from NY, awesome chicken, fresh & juicy, made-to-order, so you have no choice but to wait, the sign says so... The... wait is worth it, delicious and not too spicy.
