One of my favorite places to get hot chicken and fish in Nashville. It?s Clean inside. When I visit Helen?s my go to meals are... mild chicken tenders and fried fish. The leg quarter is really good as well. The chicken tenders and catfish was cooked toperfection, juicy, lovely crisp, in every bite. I didn?t want to stop eating. I love the food here. My second visit and today I waited 45 minutes to an hour for my order??? And I may have not gotten it then if the cashier hadn?t... asked me if I had received my order. $46 dollars for catfish combo, whiting fish combo and 3 chicken wings. I know I must?vebeen hungry. 1 star for friendliness of cashier 2 stars for food preparation 3 stars for ? Honestly I can?t think on a 3rdstar. Okay I?ll say for effort. The tables were not cleaned (not one) and the floor was full of debris and sticky from sodafountain. The owner/manager needs to be present more in the facility so they can really see what?s going on. The wings were great. The gizzards were good too. But we were disappointed by the wait time especially since the cook got our... orders all the way messed up. I have been a faithful customer before they had their first brick and mortar... spot on Jefferson St. The atmosphere is great and the food is still good. I'm not a bone in type of person therefore I havealways ordered The Brest tender combo majority of the time.. I have tried the fish once which I wasn't impressed by but to eachtheir own... They have expended their menu since the beginning and The Mango Tea is Off the Chain (Really Good) My biggestdislike about the beginning of their opening is that When you place a Call I'm /Carry out order you have to pay for the food viaCredit card or before you pick up your food. Which I fully understand that now considering that some people Don't show up to gettheir order and looking at the way that Technology has progressed these days via GrubHub and UberEATS.. Chicken was excellentand they cheated me out of one wing....I had a part of a wing; all good. Customer service could be better.... Restaurants cleanliness, nasty...large flies in the windows and all caught on the fly paper which is right in the window next totables....Nasty.
