We showed up about 20min before open and had about 10 people ahead of us. First time having hot chicken, so I have nothing to... compare it to, but it was great! Ordered the small dark "large", which is two leg quarters/thighs. Ordered spice level "hot". Very moist and plenty of heat. Overall great experience and good food. Didn't fully meet the hype but I would eat here again. House: surprisingly clean for... the huge crowd they're turning over. Line was out the door and stayed that way but every table was somehow constantly clean.Outdoor area looked pleasant but AC indoors was much needed on this hot day! Service: cashier was friendly and helped with theoptions. Server was on it. Food: I like when chicken is juicy and the skin is crisp but this was dry meat and crunchy skin. Thehot flavor saved the day but I've had better cooked chicken a lot of other places. The mac and cheese was top notch. Cole slawwas better than average. In Tennessee on vacation and this place is a must see! The chicken here is juicy and fresh, their recipe is to die for! The... collard greens and coleslaw were seasoned to perfection! And the pimento mac 'n cheese was creamy and delicious! The mediumspiced chicken sandwich was hands down my favorite! And to finish it off we had peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream! The hot chicken sandwich (southern) is no heat. It?s a good sandwich too. You can get chicken tenders inall the same heat levels as the sand which. They?re big pieces and come with 2 sides. The potato salad and coleslaw are reallygood: the fries are good. The banana pudding is really good. The peach cobbler not so much. The sweet tea is good. Kids probablycan?t finish a meal here. Wow!!! it was so much more than just a good chicken sandwich. It was definitely spicy, moist packed full of flavor. They also... had great beers on tap and the service was extremely good for someplace so busy with a line out the door. My only recommendationis be patient. The line moves quick might be hard to find a place to sit but it is worth the wait. extremely large window isgreat for people watching taking in the whole city vibe. Nashville is a great place.
