I?m staying at the Fairlane and ordered a Ellington Burger and fries togo. When I got back to my room I came to find out they... all came over cooked. I believe the burger is supposed to have an egg on it too?which it did not. It took about 30min to get myfood too. I didn?t want to call because now they?re close to closing and didn?t want to be that guy. I?m sure the other food isgood and better if u done there. Read more

Ellingtons just became a ?go to? when we go downtown for a concert at the Ryman. (3-4 blocks away) LOVE LOVE LOVE the 70?s retro... coolness of the decor and the low key vibe. The music was relaxing playing at a level we could enjoy our conversation insteadyelling across the table like sooooo many restaurants have now days. The lobster ravioli was yummy, the pork chop was a doubleyum yum. I have found with many restaurants who serve pork chops, tender and flavorful combined is a challenge. Not here! Asyou can see from the photo the chop was a nice thick cut, really enjoyed the bourbon rub on it too! The desert was light with alavender and blueberry topping and the little blue lemonade drink on the side (yum) we gave them bonus points for servingsomething unique and different. The service was exceptional (thank you Scott) and very attentive! Just an overall goodexperience. Not an ETCH but not a 3 star either. FYI on Sunday?s bottles of wine are 50% off! Read more

One of the best experiences I?ve had fine dining in Nashville. We had amazing service from both our server Christopher (Cruz)... and the chef Christopher. Their Smoked Chicken Gnocchi and Porchetta were two of the best dishes I?ve ever had. 10000/10 Read more

We randomly stopped at Ellington?s for our anniversary dinner because the building looked pretty and the menu sounded good. I?m... so glad we stopped here because everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel and the restaurant are both beautiful and upscale.The food was amazing and the dessert was really good too. My husband and I both loved our meals. The service was excellent andour waiter Christopher was really friendly and made great recommendations. I absolutely loved the whole vibe of this restaurantand I would 1000% come back again. It was an underwhelming experience for my husband and I when we came here for dinner on a Sunday night. The place had potential,... love their decor but I got the impression it's a place more apt for business lunches. They seemed understaffed so the servicewasn't great, long wait times, and unavailable items on the menu. Some of the items were also overpriced in my opinion,specifically their charcuterie board which was mostly fruit and unmemorable meats and cheeses. The restaurant offered a nice patio setting which featured a beautiful view. The staff wasn?t the friendliest and the menu was a... bit different didn?t have much to choose from. A big con to my visit was my guest who accompanied me had to send her side dishback 3 times. Literally 3 times due to her item being cold. I wish I saw the newer reviews sooner. We are staying near by and we always try to go to one nicer restaurant on vacation and we... picked this place. The food looks better than it was. I will give the lobster ravioli a 10 of 10 and that's why it got 2 stars.We walked in and waitstaff was nice but took a few minutes to seat us despite only having about 4 people at the bar and maybe 2other tables. Should have taken the hint when a person asked the bartender what they suggested on the menu, and the bartendersuggested another restaurant. We ordered the last lobster ravioli at 6, they are open until 10. You could tell that staff wasannoyed because there were already other things off the menu but I would be too. My trout was not seasoned very well it wasovercooked but the skin wasn't crispy I had to peel the meat off it. The steak was was way over cooked almost well done whenasked for medium rare. The sauce wasn't a sauce more like a broth. If we weren't in a hurry we would have sent it back. Read more

Have enjoyed the bar several times. Usually low-key and friendly. Outdoor terrace space is a really nice spot to meet friends... or just relax. Bar staff have almost always been attentive and friendly, even when slammed with drink orders. Read more
