Wonderful dinner experience. We got the 10-course omnivore menu. Every course was amazing. The yellowfin tuna ribbons and the... egg toast were big highlights! The sommelier was awesome, and our wine pairings were delicious. Read more

I had high expectations for Druise and Darr, but like most reviewers, my expectations exceeded my reality. My husband had the... tasting menu, and he said it was good, but nothing spectacular. I ordered the snap pea salad, and tenderloin. The salad wasunique, but way too heavy on the lemon in the dressing. The tenderloin was good, but again, nothing spectacular. I enjoyed thepresentation of the zucchini rose, but it was bland and flavorless. In my opinion, you shouldn?t have to season anything withsalt and pepper in a high-end restaurant. Sadly, I had to season my steak and the mushy zucchini. I am glad I asked for thesauce on the side for the tenderloin, because it was way too spicy for my taste! We also had high hopes for dessert. The lavacake was good! However, the peach cobbler was tough. Almost like a toffee! Way too much sugar and flour and was too few peaches. I guess my big takeaway from this experience is I am glad I tried it! Experiences like this one help me remember thatreputation can only get you so far. I think I will stick to the new restaurants where the chefs are scratching and fightingtheir way to win a customer base, not riding the coattails of a once famous chef that has become complacent. Oh, the bathroomwas an experience, as well! Ladies, just try to re-apply your lipstick in that lighting! ???? Read more

Ambience was lovely. Staff was great. Food was very disappointing to say the least. The "number one rated salad in Nashville"... tasted like an overkill of shrimp mayonnaise. I needed to change out my cutlery to get rid of the taste. I made a very poorchoice with the Sea Bass, which may be the very first bad Sea Bass I have ever had. It was thin, rather tasteless and lookedlike a potato fritter, even the carrots were tasteless. I thought I had Covid again but I realized I was still having a hardtime getting the shrimp mayo taste off my tongue. My husband's salmon was decent but nothing to brag about. It was a veryexpensive meal to have a below average culinary experience. We didn't take a chance on dessert but instead went to a secondlocation to enjoy one. Will not go back. :(. Read more

I have dined here twice now with friends and family. Both times we enjoyed our meals. I do agree with previous comments that the... wait staff does not seem to be up to par for a fine dining experience, but finding good staff today is a challenge due to thepandemic. I also agree that the music is too loud which caused people to shout to be heard. I thing I had the biggest problemwith was over the silverware. One of my friends ordered ice tea, he doesn?t drink alcohol for medical reasons, he was givenunsweetened tea with a container of sweeter options ?. but nothing to stir it with. When he asked the server for a tea spoon, she brought a huge soup spoon, the same cutlery I was served with my pasta. When the manager came by, asked him about it and hesaid that was the only option other than a small spoon used for cappuccino. I can?t fathom why they don?t include teaspoons intheir silverware selection. Nashville is a Southern city and ice tea is a fairly standard drink choice. Other than the spoonproblem, we all enjoyed our meals. I love taking visitors to the Hermitage Hotel. It has such a wonderful history and thedownstairs bathrooms (especially the men?s) are something the see. The management staff of the hotel is the best there is. It isworth visiting. I?m sure the new restaurant will continue to improve. Read more

Beautiful restaurant/ambiance!! The staff was professional and knowledgeable about the food details when we asked questions... about the entrees. I ordered the Black Sea Bass - my first time ever having it and it was so tasty and cooked perfectly! It camewith a gourmet puree, roasted multicolored carrots and caramelized cauliflower. My only regret is that I didn't order anappetizer! My husband ordered the filet, and it was cooked to perfection (med-rare). The exterior was perfectly crispy & theinside was just the right temperature. We dine out regularly at fine restaurants and Drusie & Darr will certainly be praised atany opportunity!! Read more

So we stayed at the Hermitage this last weekend. We chose to have dinner here one of three nights we stayed. Prior to our... arrival, we checked here at the reviews. Admittedly, I was apprehensive based on others recently added reviews. My wife hadblack seabass and I had the filet. Both were fantastic and the service was amazing. We opted not to have appetizers or desertsince we had plans for the evening and did not want to be stuffed. The atmosphere is beautiful and intimate while being veryopen. Although it's expensive, the quality of food is beyond what you should expect for the price. I also chose a cabernet bythe glass, which was also great. Well done. Read more

Yea... No. Just no. I'm sorry but I can't in any aspect steer someone here except maybe to get a drink at the bar for a view... and try to sundae. While the aesthetics of the restaurant were nice, well thought of and the men's bathroom being thehighlight. I can't leave much else of a good note of a restaurant that is supposed to carry such a high pedigree ofJean-Georges who does have legitimate clout. It feels like they combined the fact that it's in the Hermitage Hotel and paid forJean-Georges's name that they've already planned for this restaurant not to last except by purely tourist traffic. So, you payx amount and expect a certain amount. This formula did not calculate With that being said, why? (Keep in mind before you rollyour eyes that it was supposed to be that nice and touted as worthy of Michelin). 1. They had a tasting menu, they didn'tunderstand what pairing was. I was then brought two reds without any mention of what I was even drinking. Asked when I wantedthem? It doesn't work that way. 2. Plating, didn't really feel anything special for this or the utensils. No glam, no fun andno creative and/or thoughtful dishes. 3. They kept on bringing bread after we said no more, no butter either? 4. Theybrought the wrong order out, then they took the wrong order and placed it under a heat lamp, it was trout, it was dried out bythe time we had it. 5. Their signature big deal dessert wasn't even on the tasting menu (Sundaes). 6. Most of the staff feltvery amateurish, no explaining what we were eating. When food was served, the plate placement didn't mean anything and it wasquickly thrown out. This is a full stop, do not waste your time or money at. Etch, Catbird, Continental and Yolan are wayabove. I still think Yolan is masterful and the best in service. Read more
