This is my favorite bakery in Nashville now. I was missing my sourdough based bakery from my hometown and had been looking for... one in Nashville that comes close. I found Dozen at one point but didn?t save it and then couldn?t find it again until a fewweeks ago when my friend suggested it. When I realized what it was I got SO excited. I got a blueberry chess pie slice (bestchess pie I?ve ever had yet and the crust was perfectly flaky but crunchy), umami sourdough loaf (also incredible), and somevery kind service. My mom moved to the U.S. from France when she was in her late 20s and I grew up with homemade fresh bread weekly. Dozen does a... great job with their baked goods. They clearly have spent time perfecting their recipes and it shows. I haven't had a singlething there that I didn't enjoy thoroughly. Oh, one time I went there shortly before Christmas and one of the employees gave metwo of the poinsettias which was very kind. The only thing I would change about it if it were any of my business would be theflow of the place could be a little better but even that is a nit pick! I had an amazing sourdough sandwich. The bread was so soft and fresh, with a nice chewy crust. The sauce and fresh herbs on it... made this an exceptional sourdough experience. Would definitely recommend. Read more
We absolutely loved this place. The food was absolutely amazing and the workers were very friendly. Their coffee is good but... their baked goods were what we loved. I love their chocolate croissants and their sourdough bread was out of this world.Definitely recommend for food lovers. Read more
Quiche and salad was tasty. I enjoyed the flaky and soft crust. I just wish I had more of a bigger slice and side salad. The... location of the Bakery is in the middle of nowhere, still it's a cute little spot. Read more
High quality stuff coming out of this bakery that seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. I?m sure when I come back in a couple... of years this will be in the heart of newly developed neighborhood. Loved the focaccia and chicken salad (country style -slightly sweet). Pecan bar was great also. If I was a local this is where I?d be getting my baguettes. Read more
Stopped at Dozen as soon as we got into Nashville from Indianapolis. There was construction nearby, so we were a little confused... on how to access the bakery, but an officer was in the street and directed us to the nearby parking lot. When we walked in wewere greeted, grabbed a menu and then got in line. Our food came out fast and was delicious. I would definitely recommend thisplace for breakfast, lunch, coffee, or a quick snack.
