I would love to say when it say street food style vibe they got it and the food is exactly the feeling of Thai street food. I... would like to see more on the menu and little big pricey for the portion size of certain ones. We order the Pad Thai and the RedCurry. I read so many great reviews and decided to give this place a try. I have so many great things to say about this place and a... couple of opportunities for improvement. What I loved: - Thai iced tea was delicious. Not too sweet, just perfectlybitter/tea-flavor and insanely delish. - the atmosphere is very casual and welcoming. Staff plays a big role in that. What Iliked: - I ordered basil chicken (called something else on their menu and is with pork ? but they replaced it with chicken asrequested) I really liked it. I wish the chicken was minced like it usually is in basil chicken but nonetheless the food wastasty! Some of my friends tried red curry and Jay?s special and they all were happy with what they ordered. I liked red curry aswell. - big parking lot, but gets full quickly. You can hang on for a bit if spots are full, they clear out fast as well. -free wifi if you need it What can be improved: - outdoor patio was reserved for a birthday party when I visited, sounfortunately we couldn?t sit outside. - limited menu Overall, I?d definitely go there again to try other items on the menu.I?d also recommend this place to a friend. The food came out quickly and it was delicious. I also had a Thai tea which was a perfect balance of sweet flavor and tea... flavor. The only thing I would have changed is more broccoli in the chicken fried rice and the texture of the chicken being alittle dry. My husband really enjoyed his red curry and dumplings. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant,including the bathroom, was clean. Read more
Excellent Red Curry - love the fried tofu. Not a massive menu, but based off of the quality - quantity of items is not needed.... Good people and service. Certainly has a tad more modern feel to the room. Plenty of seating - even some outside tables. One ofthe better Thai restaurants in all of Nashville. Read more
Can?t say enough good things about DegThai. Huge open space, came by for weekend dinner and was not too crowded. Amazing how... fast food comes out but feels like you?re at a 4-5 star restaurant. Restaurant seems family run and authentic Thai, you cantruly taste the love in it. Their Thai iced tea is actually the best I?ve had, and trust me this is after 20+ years in NYC andtraveling through cities boasting the best (Thai) food scene. Their spicy/hot is very spicy. If you?re looking for ?drink 5glasses of water? hot, you?ll get it here! Green curry was our favorite, chicken was so tender and flavorful, perfect slightcoconut flavor but not too much. I could eat Degthai?s hot red curry with fried tofu forever. It is absolutely delicious. Even my husband loves it, and he... usually dislikes tofu! Deg Thai has a wonderful garlicky aroma that greets visitors in the parking lot. The decor was modern and the service was fast... and friendly. We ordered a serving of the appetizer dumplings, which were a little lackluster. I got the Tiew Tom Yum Goonghot. Tangy and spicy, the shrimp were large and cooked well. My partner got the Chicken Green Curry hot, which we both agreedwas one of the best representation of that dish we've had. The chicken was large pieces cooked perfectly. Both dishes wereflavorful, warming, and hearty - perfect for the chilly day. Read more
