We went for our anniversary and everything was great! We were 30 minutes early and still got seated as our table was reserved.... Kansas City Striploin, 17-layer cake, and dinner rolls were amazing! Our host was very friendly and professional. Overall agreat place for a special occasion! Read more

We came here for a date night and truly enjoyed our time from the minute we entered the restaurant. The service is superb and... staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We ordered oysters and the octopus as a starter and both wereexcellent. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The octopus was a chilled dish which was unexpected but delicious. It wascooked perfectly and i suggest a bite with the crispy pepperoni and marinated pepper together. We also had the caesar salad witha housemade dressing which was quite honestly one of the best I have ever had. For our main course we ordered the prime rib(HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and the snapper. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and not too fatty served au jus that was slightly sweetand peppery but delicious. The snapper was seasoned perfectly and cooked on a bed of bag leaves and limes. The aromatics wereamazing and the fish absorbed those incredibly. We finished our meal with the 17 layer cake which was not too sweet and morethan enough to share. Carne Mare was an excellent dining experience and we would definitely return. Read more

Loved this place. We're not from Nashville and we came into town to meet some friends. If celiac disease and I felt that my... server was very good at making sure I wasn't going to get sick, they double-checked on everything and in the end I definitelydid not get sick. We had a bunch of different dishes that we mostly shared around the table and everything was really delicious.I really liked the red pepper sauce that was with the swordfish. I was unable to have the bread or some of the dishes but theywere definitely enough options that I could choose some different things that I enjoyed. The picture of the dish that justlooks like a piece of fish with nothing else was actually a fish that was I believe salt crusted if I'm not mistaken and bakedwith all of these amazing aromatics. It was the most delicious smelling dish I've had in a restaurant in a long time and thefish really tasted of all the aromatics. Read more

If you're looking for a lively vibe with exquisite cuisine Carne Mare is the place to be. Went on Saturday evening and the... joint was jumping! A tad tardy in honoring our dinner reservation time (kinda expected) but the bar scene kept usentertained. The complimentary pull-apart bread was simply incredible (seasoned with garlic, olive oil and parsley). I wanteda second order but didn't want to fill myself up. The Prime Rib ???? was prepared perfectly and seasoned well. From the drinks, food, to atmosphere and service I would rate this 10 out of 10 if I could. Thanks Carne Mare for giving us an absoluteunforgettable dinner! Read more

This place is great. Very classy place with good service and great food. We started with the mozzarella cheese, sticks, and... caviar. Individually, they?re both great, but together honestly I could barely taste the caviar. It was an interestingexperience and worth a try. Then we moved onto the octopus carpaccio. That was fantastic. Very tasty indeed. For the maincourse we each had a fillet and it was cooked with perfection at a medium rare temperature. The flavor was just the right amountof salt and as tender as you would expect from a steakhouse like this. Very well done! For our side dish, we had the mixedarugula salad, which was dressed in some type of balsamic Dressing and it was absolutely wonderful! We could not stop eatingit! The server did a fantastic job almost over the top by walking us through 90% of the menu items. It was a little more than Iwanted but it was nice that he could knew the menu so well, and could articulate it so well. Read more

Excellent service and staff, absolutely loved them. This visit, we ordered the crab lettuce wraps first along with cheese stick... caviar. While we waited, we received a pull apart bread with garlic butter, parsley, and a little bit of oil. It was verysatisfying, salty, and fresh tasting. We shamelessly asked for a second one after accidentally completely devouring the first. You probably will, too. The lettuce wraps most significant notes of crab claw pieces along with a bit of soy sauce for thefinisher. Next, the cheese stick caviar was a bit different than expected. The caviar is mostly a salty butter flavor that isabsorbed by the cheese making it taste like a well seasoned cheese stick. Very interesting take. Next is the octopus carpaccio, which is now my girlfriends favorite fish dish in Nashville. She isn't big on octopus, but is big on carpaccio. The thinlysliced octopus was accompanied with slices of black olive, crunchy pepperoni, sweety drop peppers, and a lemon butter sauce. Thecombination was almost like a mini charcuterie, and pairing the octopus differently with the different toppings was verysatisfying. Main courses were the 16oz prime rib(medium) and 9oz filet (medium rare) along with a side of Polenta. Honestly thefilet was somehow over-charred on the outside but perfectly medium rare in the middle. It was a little bit dry as well. Highlydisappointing, It's a good thing we agreed to split both and trade, because the prime rib was one of the best steaks we've hadin all of Nashville. It was juicy, tender, and seasoned to perfection with a jus. The steaks also came with a green salsa andextra jus, which were both delicious. The green salsa sauce is not the salsa you are thinking of, but tastes like it on a steak.Interesting flavor addition to both entrees. We stuck mostly with the extra jus. Now the polenta... It had some goat cheese init but not too much. It was a great balance and not too acidic. Similar mouth feel to cream of wheat, but th Read more

Fantastic dining experience over Memorial Day Weekend! My husband, brother in law, and I dined with server JP, who was... incredible! We opted to order an app - the jumbo shrimp cocktail and crab Louie, the table side salad for three, and entreesfamily style including the prime rib, bolognese, short rib raviolis, polenta, and mushrooms Marsala, and the flambé spumoni. Weopted for a round of cocktails followed by bourbon. I formerly lived in Las Vegas and have tried many fine dining restaurants.I frequently worry about timing of the order when ordering multiple courses. JP assured us he would handle the timingcorrectly, and he sure did! The jumbo shrimp cocktail comes with 4 large shrimp and you dip the shrimp into the crab Louiesauce, rather than traditional cocktail sauce. The shrimp were fresh and the sauce will leave you scraping the container withyour fork. The table side salad is typically what you would expect of a table side Caesar, but with fresh farm-to-table springmix type here. Very good and fresh. The prime rib was outstanding. Cooked to a perfect medium rare (maybe slightly closer tomedium, but not by much). Rather than an au jus on the side, the prime rib is served on top of the jus. To me, the prime rib juswas almost more of a reduction and it was divine! The pastas were both great, but I favored the Bolognese. The hand cut noodleswere perfection. The Spumoni desert is delicious and enough to serve three people, at least! The table side flambé adds alittle excitement! Read more
