I have been coming here several times a week since I moved to my place in February. However, this has been the first time I have... been here for the poetry night. I was sitting until the line got a little shorter. I was outraged because the lines were solong, and I (as well as an African American man beside me with dreads) was told by one of the workers to get up and buysomething or I can't sit there. I have never been treated like this ever in any establishment. It was a gentleman in a blueshirt checking people out. Meanwhile, the line has been wrapped around the door since I arrived. I then went to speak with him(Urbe) to clear some things up. He said he assumed I was with the black guy that had been there for a few hours. However, I hadjust walked in, and it was the only open seat which was beside him. I will be sure to let all my neighbors at my apartment knowabout this place. Read more
My friends and I went tonight for the first time and it was incredible. There were only two men there and obviously at times... were VERY busy but they were still so friendly and everything was wonderful. Loved every bit of it. Read more
Amazing drinks and atmosphere! Jules was wonderful, and the coffee flight was delicious. Came back in that night and the next... morning for a proper Sazerac and Irish coffee, respectively. Walked into DJ Shadow bumping on the subwoofer, so I knew it wasquality. Definitely suggest checking it out if you're in the area. Read more
Went on a Sunday morning while the atmosphere was nice and calm and the chairs were comfy the coffee was anything but. Both the... oat milk and regular left the creaminess to our imagination. And after having left the establishment I can still taste thebitterness of the coffee in my mouth. And though I was promised homemade pastries by Nashville guru I?ve had better cinnamonrolls out of a pillsbury can. Read more
A definite diamond in the rough. The coffee was quite good. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and, thanks to a previous reviewer,... knew to ask about leaving the mustard off. The restaurant really needs to list all ingredients on the menu if for no otherreasons than allergy safety and liability. The food was good and the atmosphere comfortable. The whole place gives off an oldworld vibe, but manages to do so without being pretentious. I found it odd that, as a coffee shop, it didn?t open until 9am.Overall, a nice place to stop by if you?re in the area. Read more
The ambiance is amazing! Coffee is delicious! I have had their Fitzgerald, highly recommend, the one in this picture tho is the... pepper mocha and that is also amazing! Great vibe! Love it! The atmosphere here is tasteful without being pretentious. Friendly staff and delicious coffee/cocktails make the experience... here unmatched to any cafe in the area. They?re also open late, which is perfect for night owls needing to study/get work done. Read more
Cute coffee shop the atmosphere waa laid back and relaxed. Comfy chairs and a couch. Tables with chairs for groups chatting. ... Thr staff was very friendly and easy to chat with. I ordered a hot coffee and when I heard my ne called I walked up and statedis that mine and the gentleman asked what were thinking it would look like and i stated what I thought it was. The staff statedwe will remake it, since I thought I was getting a 12oz instead of a 3oz. Lesson learned. But definitely amazing coffee will beback. Rather support local then franchise.
