8th & Roast is vibing. Very cool ambience in here with lots of old brick. I tried the Flash Chilled Nitro, which is described... as brewed coffee flash chilled and infused with nitro. This is different than a cold brew. Not as strong, but still some greatflavor. Nitro was super foamy (I wonder if it is N2 or N2O). Overall it was good. Not quite what I was expecting, but pleasantnonetheless. Front entrance is a little odd and very close to the street. However, it appears there is a back parking lot witha rear entrance. Favorite coffee place. (The only I found that does pour over/filter coffee) everyone else has standard drip and espresso based,... but this shop has pour over! The tables are sticky here. The warm interior is accented by plants, natural light and woodfixtures. Kombucha is one of the best I've ever had! (Walker Brothers -Blueberry Jasmine) scone pastry is amazing! I love coffee and it?s a must to have it every morning. I went to BNA (Nashville airport) to catch a flight. Hadn?t had... breakfast or coffee yet so as soon as I make it through the security gates I?m on the hunt. The first thing I see is 8&R and thetag line ?Nashville?s best coffee?. I?m thinking ?how good can airport coffee be?? At this point though, any coffee will do sowhy not? I order a simple latte with almond milk - no syrup or any other shenanigans. Coffee comes up rather quickly. I pick itup and start towards my gate. As I?m walking towards my gate I take a sip and literally stop in my tracks. Man this coffee isgood. So good I started to walk back to the coffee shop to thank the barista! But I figure a Google review would be moreimpactful. So here it is! This coffee shop owns up to its tag line. I love this place! I'll never go back to Starbucks. The coffee is great here, my personal favorite is the vanilla latte. If... you're hungry make sure to try the blueberry muffins. They are probably the best I've ever had, chock full of blueberries softand flavorful. Read more
