We had an amazing time and loved the atmosphere. Busy even on a Wednesday. We had a 630 reservation and were seated right away.... We started with the quail and the sausage biscuit, both were recommended and they didn't disappoint. My wife loved the monk fishand I ordered the venison loin which tasted wonderful but came out on a cool to the touch plate which made everything luke warm.If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars. This restaurant is a gem and always on the list when we have guests visiting Nashville! Located in Germantown, it is a quick... ride from downtown Nashville. Ambience is understated and has a great vibe. Food is consistently delicious. Wait staff isalways top notch and attentive. My favorites… cheddar sausage biscuits and tomato pie as appetizers to share. The choppedsalad presentation is over the top and could be a whole meal by itself- so fresh! Best beer can chicken ever. Make sure yousave room for dessert, great options! Mango crumble was unique and loaded with flavor. Read more

Food overall was very good. We started with the duck wings, bacon wrapped quail, tomato pie and then moved to scallops, short... rib and got Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts. I think that much food was perfect for 3 of us. Ended with fried peach pie fordessert. I had the strawberry sangria and thought it was refreshing but also on the sweeter side. I tried a bit of the raspberryberet and wasn’t a fan of the heavy bitters. Generally everything was tasty although I did think duck wings and brusselsprouts were a bit too sweet. The fried peach pie was very good too although the caramel was overwhelming. I almost wish it wasa little bitter to balance the overly sweet filling. I do think generally there was a missing wow quality to many of the dishesand food came out in a slower than expected pace. I think my favorite were the Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes - super creamy.Overall, a great place for drinks and food with friends. I came with family and thought it was a bit loud. Read more

Yep. 5 star all around. I highly recommend either salad, the pork lettuce wraps, the short ribs, the fried chicken, and Brussel... sprouts! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. The outdoor space is very lovely but it was 96° and I wasn't going. Street parking isavailable. I will definitely be back! Read more

Hmm… not sure why this restaurant has so many great reviews. The service was decent but the food was just okay. Husband... ordered medium rare NY steak and they gave it to him rare; we had to send it back. Cheddar sausage biscuits and mashed potatoesmay have been the best things we ordered. Short rib had a good flavor but nothing spectacular. Brussels sprouts were a littletoo salty and sweet. Deep fried apple pie was pretty good. Overall it was okay. My expectations were really high because of allthe great reviews. For a higher priced restaurant I expected more. I don’t think we will be going back. Read more

Came to 5th & Taylor to celebrate a birthday, and was taken aback by how inviting and hospitable the staff here is. Most servers... were smiling and having pleasant interactions with guests, and our server in particular excellently guided us through the dinnermenu and communicated genuine care in making sure our experience was top-flight. While the house cocktail offerings are alittle basic and lacking, the drink menu is first rate and features outstanding local/regional offerings. The duck-‘am(prosciutto-wrapped duck) is remarkable and cooked to perfection. Their steaks feature an ox tail gravy that is stunning andunique…definitely a must try. The house mashed potatoes are creamy, delicate and delicious, and their Brussels sprouts are aslam dunk and difficult to describe. The stars of the night, however, were the bacon-wrapped quail served in a sorghum/datesauce, and mango cobbler served with coconut ice cream. This restaurant might take a back seat to some of the hotter tables inNashville, but from the moment you enter to the moment you leave, you will certainly be blown away by this dining experience.
