I am not going to lie; this place surprised me a little. I thought the food would not be flavorful like any other bar food. This... place had one of the best burgers I've tasted in Nashville called the "The Nashville Burger". It's on par with any other GREATburger in town (not that many). Popped in on a weekday after failing to do so many times previously. 12 South Taproom is situated right in the heart of the busy... neighborhood for which it's named. A welcoming and spacious outdoor area flows into a well laid out and decorative interior. Ifbeer is your game, you won't be disappointed. I was able to enjoy one of my personal favorites (Three Philosophers by BreweryOmmegang) along with Urban Chestnut's Zwickel and Jackalope's Rompo. For food I went with ribeye tacos and roasted potatowedges. Everything was fantastic, specifically the salsa verde when drizzled onto the corn tortillas. The service was right onthe money, meaning when I gave a look of wanting another drink (without actually motioning or saying a word) the servers werequick to respond, and they were kind enough to check in once in awhile to see if I needed anything. Fantastic beer selection. Good variety on the food menu. Spicy shrimp and pita is my favorite. They have oysters on the half... shell. Burgers that aren't so big they make you sick. Quesadillas and sandwiches. The patio is smoking but big enough and openas to not feel like you're trapped in a cloud. Service is always attentive and accommodating. Read more
