We had a great dining experience at Sea Craft! Great calamari and clam chowder to start, then I had a delicious meal of seared... scallops. They were able to accommodate our son with a hamburger with a gluten free bun. Staff was courteous. Service was just alittle slow, but similar to what we see in most restaurants right now.. We started outside, but it started to rain. The staffwas great to get us moved inside. I'd recommend the Sea Craft to anyone. Read more
I?ve had dinner here a few times. The first few times the menu was really interesting and the food was fantastic. Service has... always been a bit awkward. It always seems overstaffed but slow service despite many employees just hanging around. My mostrecent visit (last night) was very disappointing and awkward. Since the restaurant first opened there is obviously a newchef/new management and the menu is far less interesting. My friend and I ordered the street corn ($8) and were expectingtraditional street corn, i.e., grilled corn with an aioli, cotija and seasoning. When it came out it was one ear of corn cut inhalf with NOTHING on it. There was a sprinkle of seasoning on the plate but nothing on the corn itself. When we asked ifsomething was missing, the (maybe) manager told us ?that?s just how it is,? and wasn?t friendly at all. Eventually they did takeit off our bill, but listing plain grilled corn as street corn is misleading and the reaction to our bafflement was not anexample of good service. For my entree I asked to have a starter increased to entree sized meal, I was told I could order 2 andthey?d put it on one plate, which seemed odd considering that there was no way what I got was actually double. Finally, therewas a hair in my food. I didn?t mind that much and still ate my dinner, I don?t like wasting food! But I did tell them about itand, again, the response was a bit weird and they didn?t do anything about it. Considering how our meal went, I think a managershould have stopped by and apologized and offered a free dessert or something along those lines. All that said: it is abeautiful spot and our waitress was very friendly (it did seem like she had too many tables to manage while other staff seemedto have nothing to do). My dinner was decent and my friend had a burger that she loved. It definitely seems like a few kinksneed to be worked out before this place is worth the price tag. Not sure I will be returning. Waited an hour and a half for food we contemplated getting up and leaving many times. Great food but the service was extremely... slow but our waitress did her best. Also very loud inside could barely hear my guests. So much staff yet so little service.Hopefully they can figure it out before summer gets into full swing because the location is great. Read more
