No frills joint with one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've ever had. Cole slaw was good too! Small and simple menu.

This place is great. Old school, family run and delicious sandwiches. The only negative is it?s a CASH only restaurant and I can... tell you they LOSE a lot of revenue doing this. I can think of 10 times I chose another place down the street because I didn?thave cash on me. Get with the times man. Accepting credit/debit cards is simply a cost of doing business and a courtesy to yourcustomers. Read more

Stopped at Pastrami Dan's for the first time today for lunch. I was with my wife, we weren't terribly hungry, so decided to... split a pastrami on rye. I had read some reviews online, so was a bit unsure of what I'd discover. The person complainingabout the "Fatstrami" in their review either got something entirely different from us, or they don't understand that marbling inmeat equals flavor! Our hot pastrami on rye was great. Great spicing, nice and moist, not overcooked. I started conversingwith the owner, talked with him a bit about online reviews, and he remarked they take them all seriously. I jokingly told himwe didn't care for the pastrami, then laughed as I handed him our baskets picked clean of any remnants! He laughed then toldhis mom working the line we didn't like it, to which she spun around to face him as he cracked a big smile and laughed! Sheremarked how he shouldn't give her such a scare. These people care, and seem like they will do anything within their power, ifwhat you get isn't perfect. They wanted to make sure we tried the roast beef, so gave us a little on a plate along with somegravy... it was pink, moist and tasted great. The prices aren't cheap, but they are making quality pastrami and roast beef. I'll definitely be back to this lovely locally owned business staffed with people who care! Read more

Disappointed all the way around. Been coming here for years and today was truly sub par at best. Dry roast beef sandwich, even... with the gravy. Cash only as usual. Please get with the times and quit being cheap on credit card processing. I ordered anIce-tea and got a diet coke and shame on me... I didn't even bother to ask them to the correct my drink as the line got biggerand I had no time to wait further. Roast beef used to be red and tender, today was gray and dried out. I'm okay paying theridiculous pricing, but give something that values the price. Sad thing is I even tipped you all on top of it. Looks as if thisplace has become a tourist trap, which again is disappointing because it used to be so good. Read more

Best renamed to "FatStrami" or "CheapStrami", as Dan(the owner) is using one of the lowest grade meats and he darn knows it but,... has the audacity to charge $22 cash for a sandwich w/relatively miniscule amount of meat & coleslaw...and EVERYONE knowsit. Sorry Dan, but you're an epitome of what product quality ISN'T in a service capitol of SW FL being it's heartbeat ofexistence. Read more

Best pastrami I've had outside of New York. Tacos are also stellar. Well worth even a long drive to get it

Non traditional is the best description I can come up with...limited menu done very well, but pastrami here is uniquely prepared... and seasoned. There is a continuous line for lunch at the counter service restaurant and they only take cash. Sides are starshere, try the coleslaw and potato salad...everything is made fresh in house. Read more
