Absolutely delicious food! Happy hour lasts from 5 pm-8 pm with decently priced margaritas. it was pretty packed getting there... at 6 pm on a Friday evening, so I suggest going sooner rather than later. All the food was piping hot and extremely tasty -truly an authentic experience. If you want to splurge, I would highly suggest getting the Molcajete Supreme (I mean, come on,it's literally in the restaurant's name) and sharing it with someone. The tamales were also really good. We'll just take the bare bones here. Three of us arrived after playing Windstar on Naples Bay. We grabbed a table in the back,... and received pretty quick service to get a menu and drink orders. We ordered three Corona beers and they came fairly quickly.Then all of us ordered three tacos for lunch, with two of my friends ordering french fries which looked to be fresh cut. Lunchtook a very long time to arrive, and the food was not warm. I'll admit to liking traditional shredded lettuce and tomatoes on mytacos, instead I got an awful lot of cut onions and a pile of cilantro. The taste of my al pastor tacos was just so so. I'mreally ambivalent about the meal I was served, thinking that the food was average and uninspired. What got me is that we werethere for over an hour and never got a check, and the place was frankly dirty. A group of teens was sitting nearby and playingvideos on their phones very loudly and it was an all around uninviting atmosphere. I ended up leaving cash with my friendsbecause I couldn't wait around any longer for the tab to arrive. I've seen all the reviews from the very very positive to thevery very negative. I just think it is a unappealing building, that means a little more attention to cleanliness, and the foodwas ordinary in my opinion. Read more

I cannot understand how this restaurant has the ratings it has. This has to be-by far- the worst Mexican food I have ever had. I... am giving it 2 stars because the service was very good. However, the food was absolutely horrible. The tacos were more likeenchiladas and were tasteless. The tamale was suppose to be chicken, which had a few small pieces in the bottom. But thegreatest disappointment was the Molcajetes Supreme. The presentation was beautiful with skewers of shrimp architecturally placedbut there are not sufficient words to express the absolute tastelessnes and dryness of the chicken, beef and chorizo. Thesemeats were so dry that you would need plenty of liquid to wash them down-if you chose to eat them. I was so shocked about howbad the food was based on the reviews. In fact, I know a couple of the foodies that wrote outstanding reviews. I felt as thoughI crossed into the twighlight zone after reading such amazing reviews and experiencing the awful food. I don't know if it isbecause it's a Monday or what happened. I can't imagine ever going back. I have attached pictures of the molcajete in hope thatit will provide some beliefs from this review. Excellent tamales! Tacos were good. Nice to see barbacoa on the menu! Quesadilla was good too. My wife enjoyed the soup very... much. Update: we've been back many times now. I like the food in this place, but I went to eat there with 2 of my friends and when we asked for the bill, we noticed that an... 18% tip was already included in the price. It's my understanding that gratuity is used when there is a group of more than 6people. So be aware of what you're paying even if you go by yourself. Read more
