This is by far one of my favorite spots in town. There is many perks of being a wine club member: 2 complimentary wine tastings... a month, 1-3 bottles a month depending on which membership you have, 10% off any additional bottles, earn points for diningrewards, 15$ birthday reward ... etc. Their food is AMAZING! I've never been disappointed. Their Brussel sprouts are to die for.Their braised short ribs risotto is a family favorite at our house. I, a non-drinker, have been to Cooper’s Hawk a few times and I’m always amazed by the consistency of the food. Despite being... non-alcoholic, there are several mock-tails and lemonades that are satisfying. This night, we celebrated a milestone. Drink:passion fruit lemonade. Entree: surf and turf of bourbon glazed pork chop, pistachio crusted grouper, balsamic roastedvegetables and Betty’s potatoes. The ambiance is always great, the options are always plentiful. I'm so confused by this place. Let's start with a positive..the building is gorgeous, and has very the sexy exterior... lighting,but that makes it difficult to find on the road. That is in complete contrast to the cafeteria lighting inside, colddecor, and ugly seating but all immaculately clean. Yes, the visual is as important as everything else when you're going thatbig. We sat at the bar, where the servers were professional fun, and knowledgeable ! I ordered a flight which was a fantasticchoice with generous pours enough to move you through an entire meal. Starting with bubbles, a white, and 2 reds. I didn'tenjoy 1 of the reds and our server happily swapped it out with a suggestion that was perfect. The wines were great. AlthoughI'd like to boasts that we have a discerning and knowledgeable palette, wine is like art, and it is in beholder, but we werevery happy. Some of the food was also a bit surprising. I was not expecting a salad from a prechopped bag that was obviouslysitting out too long. I was really shocked by that. Cheap olive oil and harsh vinegar it not what you'd expect for anoverpriced salad. My fish dinner was completely nondescript, and the fish was wet which means frozen and not properly thawed. Myhusband steak was well-prepared but not the nicest cut of steak. I just felt like all of the vegetable matter on every plateseemed very much from a frozen bag. It was a little gross, especially for the price. Don't get me wrong I completely did myresearch and knew exactly what their price points were. I'm happy to overpay for any meal provided it's an excellent quality ina equally excellent surrounding and experience but I just don't think that this is it. But ending on a high note they werelovely wines and lovely people. Perhaps better for lunch. Read more
