Not only did Abe at the drive through window have terrible attitude, portillos somehow screwed up a cheeseburger with ketchup... only. Just take a look at this inedible burger. Absolutely drenched in ketchup. So much ketchup the bun was soggy on both sides.An absolute mess. Tasted like it was deep fried or something too, idk what they did. You have to TRY to make food thisbadly. Then when my wife complained, the manager claimed she ordered it that way since the receipt said double ketchup. Shedidn?t say double ketchup. Their menu includes a variety ofItalian Beef, Chicken, Salads & Hamburger Sandwiches. But it is the Vienna All-Beef Hot Dogs that most people come for. You canorder one anyway you want, so be adventurous! I promise you will NOT be disappointed. Their French Fries & Onion Rings are alsodelicious, so make sure to order some along with your meal. If you crave Dessert, then I definitely recommend ordering thePortillo's Chocolate Cake. It is moist, rich and full of intense chocolate flavors throughout. If you prefer to "drink" yourcake, you can also order the "Chocolate Cake Shake". Once you have tried it, it will be your "go-to" indulgence. The food isalways hot and delicious, every visit. Packed as usual. Careful where you park or you might get blocked in by the drive thru line. The Italian beef sandwich was just... beef in bread, no other toppings. The baked mostaccioli is great, the cheese pull was 5 stars. The chocolate cake shake isexactly as everyone says, heavy. The cheese sauce for the cheese fries comes in a separate cup to prevent the crinkle cut friesfrom getting soggy, and the sauce is pretty liquid. Read more
Portillos is a place with many options catering to a variety of people. Great for a big party with everyone preferring different... food. But a do all meet all needs place is not really my kinda place. I prefer to go to restaurants specializing in chicken, orbuger, hot dog, or pasta,... That said, the food is OK and the price reasonable. Venue is also huge with lots of seating andpotential for social distancing. Read more
Arrived at the drive thru line at 10:20pm. Got to the window at 11:08 pm. As cars continued to move forward quicker and I got... the employees attention in the window, he said they were closed. They close at 11pm but no one came outside to let the long lineof cars know this. You don?t not serve someone if they are at an establishment before closing time! If you decide to do this,get a sign and place it outside by the last car early enough or communicate it! Do something more than having customers waitover 45minutes in a drive thru. If someone comes in a store 5 minutes before they close and they want to buy something, thesales person completes that sale. This is the worst thing I?ve ever seen.
