Food was really good with big portions. Great diner atmosphere! Service was good and the baked goods were even better and... reasonably priced. Would definitely return. Read more

Wonderful old fashioned cafe with seats at the breakfast bar or at tables. We ate breakfast there 3 of the 4 mornings we were in... Napa. The portions are generous and delicious. Somehow we still managed to save room to purchase an item from the bakery forbreakfast "dessert". They have been in business for 70 years, and we definitely understand why after eating there. This is a delicious slice of Napa. The treats were good, could have been a little fresher but tasteful. The service was great!... Very attentive and patient. We went to try and have breakfast but it was way to busy so we settled for donuts and coffee fromthe bakery. This place is worth a shot and I?d go back when I the area. Read more

We visit Buttercream practically every time we are in Napa. We have eaten there, it's basically an American Diner experience... with Diner type food. They have table and counter dining, and was pretty full when we were there last Sunday. Not lying, we gofor the pastries and donuts usually- definitely with the stop. They do have cookies, cakes, & pies also. Best to go earlierthan later because they can run out of favorites. Read more

Bakery looked good but the diner was a mess. We waited a long time to be seated without any communication. The hostess/waitress... was apparently allergic to smiles and slammed our coffee down unceremoniously. Our waitress also afflicted with the smileallergy, seemed annoyed that we didn't want vanilla creamer. Lastly, my French toast was uncooked in the middle. They microwavethe bacon. Just grab donuts and leave this contradiction of cheery environment and surly staff. Read more

First thing you should know is the diner side closes at 1pm so get here early. The food is good and tons of pastry selections.... The portions at the diner are perfect. I ordered medium rare beef patty perfectly cook, scrambled eggs, home fries and it camewith two biscuits. Not the place for anyone watching there wait. I couldn't even finish. It was super busy but I don't think Iwaited longer than 10min for my order. They hustle! Everyone was working hard but I gotta give a shout-out to the blond lady outfront who handled seating with the command of a drill sargent...If drill sargents were nice lol. She was even helping behind thecounter.(Sorry I didn't get your name) Overall good experience. Read more

Better get there early this place fills up fast. This is standard American cuisine, no frills - eat-and-git. Carol was my server... did good job making sure the coffee was filled. The eggs and hash browns were very good. The bacon for my tastes was over cookedand dry, the biscuits and gravy was (personally) a bit bland. I think I would have been better off with just the biscuitswithout the gravy as the texture and flavor seen right on. Coffee was strong but not put hair on your chest strong. Read more
