Very disappointing?worst dining experience I?ve had on Nantucket or Martha?s. Spoke to waitress, manager, and chef about the sub... par dining experience but all I got back was ?Sorry, this is what we do everyday.? Clearly weren?t interested in what I had tosay. Spent $320 on a meal I had cooked and perfected coming out of culinary school at 18 years old, except this tasted like whatI cooked before I entered culinary school. Manager/chef clearly did not care for any dissenting options. I get everyone has abad night but this was unacceptable for what they charge for their food. Duck tasted like a Northern Shoveler, Osso Buccotasted like unsalted pot roast, and risotto tasted like cheese rice you microwave in a cup. I would be embarrassed to serve myin laws this food Read more

Amazing experience. We hosted a private event outside and everyone loved it. The service was fantastic and all the food was... delicious (great drinks, too!) We will definitely be hosting another private event there in the future. Read more

I have been a seasonal visitor to Nantucket for over 30 years and nothing can compare to the treatment my party of six received... last night at Ventuno. One of my friends asked about the wine list and the server responded, ?Would you like to talk to asommelier?? Having had a previous disappointing experience, my friend requested a different individual than the one from hisearlier visit. A few of our napkins were damp, wet enough to leave water stains on laps. When we asked for dry napkins, aserver brought out a few more, equally damp, serviettes and explained that the owner likes to steam them so that they?re notwrinkled. I?ll take a dry, wrinkled napkin, please. I ordered a Negroni and my wife ordered a Martini. The server returnedwith a Martini and a Manhattan. After we ordered our food choices, my friend noted to the server that the sommelier nevershowed. She didn?t respond. Some 10 minutes later, a woman turned up who was equally humorless and uninformed. When asked abouta particular vintage, she responded, ?I don?t know, I?ve never had a wine from that year.? The wine list is stocked withoverpriced, low-rated choices. But, it doesn?t hold a candle to the drubbing your wallet takes from the food side of themenu. Most of the dishes are crafted as you would expect from a vacation destination, passable with plating that comes off asmimicry of better fare from more serious establishments. My prosciutto wrapped soft shell crab with risotto sounded amazing butwas not. Smearing a plate with a couple tablespoons of one of the main elements of a dish is nothing but showmanship. The daubof risotto on my plate was overcooked and bland, no evidence of the desired aldente bite. There were good reviews of the dishesaround the table but nothing wowed. The bill arrived and should have been delivered by someone holding a weapon. And the 20%gratuity charged for large parties (six people is a large party?) was so cleverly hidden that it was nearly missed. Rud Read more

The wait staff was rude, barely came by to check on us or see if we needed another cocktail. Food took an hour and a half to get... and was mediocre and cold when arrived. Manager/owner came by as we were paying the bill to see how things were. Gave him anhonest answer and he got defensive and said, ?the kitchen does what they want?. Mediocre food, service and terrible management. Read more

While I will say the pasta I got was good it was not worth $33. Small side dish bowl. Everything over priced. The bartender... was stellar he is 5 stars. Read more
