A pricey spot for a meal, but the food is absolutely delicious. Best fish and chips on the island! The breading of the fish was... so good, and nice and crispy! The fries were tasty too. My mom got the fish sandwich with tater tots and raved aboutboth. Definitely a great spot to check out for tasty seafood. Read more

I forgot to take any pictures but this restaurant was wonderful. It was very convenient in the heart of town (between the dock... and the whaling museum). Our server, Mara, was delightful. The lobster Mac & cheese was a home run, the hamburger is the best onNantucket, and the claim chowder was very good. Will add a few Nantucket pics because it is a quaint island town. Read more

A lovely gem with both indoor and outdoor seating right near the ocean. The atmosphere is relaxed and put together, and the food... is fantastic! I cannot recommend the Stuffed Quahogs enough. Also, pretty sure this is the only place in Nantucket that one caneat affordably at. And, yes, I know no one comes to Nantucket to save money. But, it is definitely a bonus to eat well withoutdropping some serious money. (p.s. Would have shown the food, but my husband and I had it all eaten before I could even thinkto!) Read more

I sat at the bar since I was on my own. Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with garlic tots. The sandwich was great, but the... tots weren?t garlicky at all, except for a little sprinkle of dried up pieces. I had some great conversation at the bar and meta wonderfully welcoming new friend. It?s a really nice experience. Read more

Charlie Noble is a fantastic place, not just for the food but the history of the location it's on is interesting as well. The... lobster mac'n'cheese was the best we had for the entire week, and we were in Maine before Nantucket. The beef tips wereperfectly cooked, and had the perfect seasoning, they really were good enough to use 'perfect' twice in the same sentence. Thesurf and turf burger was an amazing combination of flavors that work together, well, perfectly. The staff was very friendly, andattentive. I don't know about any problems others had, looking over reviews, but I'm guessing the current owners became aware ofit and fixed that problem before it became a bigger issue. No one wants to have a bad experience in a new place, and the ownersseem like the kind of people that care about everyone having a good experience in their restaurant. This is the site of theoldest restaurant location on the island, 'The Green Coffee Pot' was the first restaurant and has a small placard outside thefront door with some information about that. During renovations for Charlie Noble, they found a very old painted mural thatdisplayed locations from the island that has been buried by other renovations for years. The current owners kept, and restored, the artwork because of the history associated with the restaurant and Nantucket Island. There is an old story about the housedepicted, that says, during a bad storm the house was struck by lightening, and the next day someone noticed that the housepainted in the mural had a crack in the exact place lightening struck the real house. If you look up when you enter the front, you can see the framing that joins the original building to the building that was next to it. The flat spot in between the peaksis where the alley between the buildings originally was. If you enjoy great food with an amazing amount of history attached to aplace, this is definitely worth every dollar. The last thing I will say is this, right outside the back Read more
