I had a very nice meal and the staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional! I usually hate tomatoes but the... caprese was amazing. Would definitely recommend. Read more

Cozy restaurant/bar with great food. Nice outdoor patio and tree bar. Follow me at @acknatural on social for more of Nantucket.

Our dinner came out in about 10 minutes of being seated. This was nice except that my short ribs were nuclear hot on the inside... (microwaved) and the gravy had lumpy chunks that had not been emulsified - tasted a bit like bullion cubes. Wife had gooeypasta. Trendy but overrated and not a serious attempt at greatness. This restaurant is amazing! My boyfriend and I made a reservation on open table about two weeks in advance because we knew would... be on the island celebrating our anniversary. Small and quaint inside with a romantic vibe. We were served by Heidi who wasAMAZING! we got the heirloom tomato and burrata salad as an appetizer (“looked so good we forgot to take a picture beforedigging in!). My boyfriend ordered the Bolognese which we found out was one of their signature dishes, recipe hasn’t changedin the 30 years! And I ordered the shrimp scampi, their other signature dish. Both were so rich and delicious. Food was 10/10and the service was as well! They also had an outdoor patio which looked beautiful. We can’t wait to go back! Read more

This was our only poor dining experience on Nantucket. The problem isn’t the food, which was adequate, but rather that this... is a bar misleadingly promoting itself as a restaurant while treating diners as a nuisance. We had an evening outdoorreservation. They were late seating us, which would not be an issue except that they asked other diners to leave so that wecould have their table. I think the word for this is “foreshadowing”, because halfway through our meal (and we purchasedapps, entrees, a bottle of wine plus two glasses of wine with the appetizer), they started taking away the candles and othertable items and asking if we wanted the rest of our wine to go. We had not been brought a check or asked if we wanted anythingelse. We had been there less than an hour with a $200+ tab, but the line to enter the bar area was growing, so they wanted tochase away the diners to have our tables for extra bar seating. The bartender came out to give a scripted, insincere apologyabout it being tough to find good workers, but it was very clear this was standard operating procedure.as it was being done toall tables. They turned up the music at the dining end to “bar levels”, which was the “siren call” to attract morebargoers. In summary, go elsewhere if you want a meal. The bar scene looked quite popular for those under 25 with parents’credit cards but meals are too costly in Nantucket to waste your time and money on a cynical business like this one. Read more
