This place has a great ambiance, and the best spot on the island to watch sunday football. But some of the bbq is not up to... par. Had the pulled pork, and it was dry, and not pulled, but just cut up. No sauce at all, and little smoke flavor. Theyhave a selection of sauces at the table, but the meat has to be more than just a few cutup pieces of pork. Baked beans on theother hand were tasty. Good, friendly service. Read more
We ordered out and picked up, so the pictures would not have been as dramatic but we loved the food. My wife had the brisket... and I had the lobster ???? mac and cheese. They were both delicious. The broccoli salads and pickle as a side were bothphenomenal! We went back to drink in house for the Syracuse vs Clemson game! MUSHROOM ROLL IS WHERE ITS AT BABY!!! First time on the island! WHAG a beautiful place and a wonderful restaurant! Amazing food... topped off some rockin? hospitality. 15 out of 10 will go back. Big ole shout out to our amazing waitress, didn?t catch hername. Refilled my water as soon as it was out! Had a group of 7 with me and they all loved their dishes. Compliments to thechef, of course. This place has good service and very good food. I ordered the big pig and I liked it. The corn was the best one I?ve ever had... (no kidding). The food also has big portion which is I would say worth it for the price. Read more
Do not miss this place, if you like BBQ, don't pass this up. I have not tried something I didn't like, or didn't go well with... the sauces. The three sauces on the table match with something on the menu practically perfectly, depending on your own taste,amazing chef skills there. It's reminiscent of a sports bar but, I definitely don't feel out of place not being a 'sports' fan.You can walk in dressed, however you are, and fit right in. Read more
It?s a BBQ resturant on an island in Massachusetts - that should say enough. Food and service were mediocre. This place came... highly recommended and I was less than impressed. The ribs were decent but the rest of the meats we got were over-cooked andlacking flavor. Our waiter forgot to give us any sauces until we asked (at a BBQ RESTURANT!) and was extremely inattentivethroughout the entire meal. Regarding the sides, the cornbread was good but the 3-5 person portion came with a measly 2.5pieces. The collared greens had potential but the vinegar was overpowering. The lobster mac was good so if you do come here Iwould stick to the mac & cheese and cornbread for sides. For ~$45/person I would definitely not come back here given theunexciting food and lack of service. Read more
Went here for lunch and it was solid.. fried chicken was alright but the brisket was thoroughly dried out. This is not fantastic... bbq by any stretch but it was decent enough and our server Gus was very nice. Came back later for a drink while waiting for theferry and have rarely faced a more rude staff. The bartender was hostile and the hostess even much more so. This is the firstnegative review I?ve left on google. I will not be back and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Read more
