Visited this place today . I ordered chicken with fries and can't explain.food was really fresh and fries was really crispy . My... kids normally like chicken but I ordered biggest for them they really like those nuggets with Ranch sauce . Manager Ahmad wasvery professional as we visited this place frist time but he guide us ,really appreciate his help. I would recommend this placeto my friends and my family members. When paying $25 for 8 pieces of half white half dark chicken with no sides you expect to get what you order. I got 3 legs, 3... thighs, one half breast and one PARTIAL chciken wing. This is my 3rd time coming to this location and I learned from thepreviois visits that the sides were lacking (crunchy beans, cold fries, bland gravy) and not what you get at the US locations.This is not Popeyes that you get in the Southern USA. Tonight my husband and I came into the store at 945 pm to order some dinner for the family. We were treated like second class... citizens, no greeting, no customer service what so ever. They refused to take our order saying they closed in 15 minutes andwouldn't make chicken... Then they refused to give me their contact information so I could file a service complaint. My familyWILL NOT be back. Worst service I've literally ever had, anywhere my entire life. The lady who refused to serve me was lookingat me very disrespectfully and smirking, and I feel it's as though because we are Aboriginal. I feel as though I was judged bymy race and refused service or any sort of semblance of respect. Shame on you Nanaimo Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. Tried this location when it first opened and the food was delicious and fresh, better than some of the locations in Eastern... Canada. The staff all seemed happy and were handling the crowds and extremely long lines very well. Went back tonight and itwas a completely different experience. Less people in line and I had ordered online so I went up to the pick up spot where I wasignored and spoken rudely to by 2 staff members. Took probably 10 extra minutes past my pick up time. When I did eventually getmy order they forgot my drink cups and then tried to hand me just 1. Felt like I was a nuisance having to ask twice. The foodwas thrown in the bag all messy and we ended up with powdered sugar all over the rest of our order. My husband ordered the redbeans and rice which had the equivalent of maybe 4 spoonfuls not worth paying for this extra side.. Also I am not sure if thebreading has changed but both the nuggets and the chicken sandwich were somehow dry, crunchy and greasy all at once. Convenient location, decent space inside and friendly staff. Good to have another choice of fried chicken in Nanaimo.

I really like Popeye's but this locations food is only okay. The popcorn shrimp was terrible and I did not eat it. The Cajun... fries were good but the portion was very small. The chicken sandwich was actually really good, it was very moist with a subtlecrunch. The chicken on the other hand was quite dry as it had been sitting under the heat lamps a long time. They alsoaccidently gave our order to another table which was a bit concerning during covid and all. So if you are in for a chickensandwich check them out otherwise I would suggest eating elsewhere.
