We went here last week for a Birthday dinner and everything about our experience was fantastic! The waitress was the best I've... ever had. While I was boxing up my leftover pizza the box slipped off the table and all the pizza was on the floor. I couldn'tbelieve it. The waitress felt so bad she had the kitchen make me the equivalent pizza size to what fell on the floor so I couldtake it home. It was the nicest thing. Food was excellent! Food was delicious. Not the way I have usually had souvlaki. However it was tasty,well cooked. The rice was great. Server was... excellent. MEAL IS COLD/ DISAPPOINTING My boyfriend & I, decided to dine in at Milano Restaurant in Nanaimo BC, Canada dated April 25,2022.... The kitchen was busy on a Monday night and we waited patiently. After 28 mns waiting the food finally served but what a bigdisappointment when i tasted my mixed vegetables, they are cold like just came out from the fridge and so mashy, same with myroasted potatoes, so far the roast lamb was not bad little bit warm, i requested the server nicely to replace the cold veges &potatoes to warm instead. Of course i have to wait another 25mns, for the time being while waiting, i ate my lamb meat and mytummy got full before the new veges & potatoes been served. My experienced tonight was disappointing. My previous visits in thisrestaurant were good but not this one. Supposed to be it?s my cheat meal and treat to myself after a week of hard work & 2 weeksof keto meal. Our lady server did not even offer anything to make me feel better. What a poor experience recently. Food ordered was expensive $50 for 1 ravioli and 1 medium pizza. We wanted something good... thinking Milanos was the place to order from. The food was so bad, I felt ill after just eating a little of pizza and a fewbites of the ravioli. The ravioli tasted like it was made with old, fridge tasting sauce and noodles did not have a freshtexture to them. I think it was foul and made me sick as well. The pizza was dry, little sauce, arrived barely warm. It didnot taste like a fresh baked pizza.the garlic bread tasted like the dirty,oily pan it was grilled in. It was disgusting. I amnot a picky eater but something went horribly wrong at the NANAIMO MILANOS! That was the fixable part. I contacted Milanostwice to resolve the issue. All I wanted was the food I threw out replaced. I thought they would be all over it to make itright. Here is the worst part of the experience which is that they did not acknowledge any messages or emails about mycomplaint. I write this regretfully as I love to support local restaurants. This was such a turn off I need to share theresults of my experience to save someone else money, hassles and from being sick. The first time here, they were too sweet and nice. I had made a mistake on my ordering ????. Along with a non confirmed item... of exactly what we wanted.
