This place was SO NASTY forreal. Like.. Completely unseasoned broth, the shrimp had not been cleaned, there were just random... bits of different meat throw in. Great authentic pho, however it's fairly pricy. $20 for one large bowl of pho which, in my cheap Manitoban opinion, is a lot to... spend. There's lots of beef in the pho and they don't skimp on the noodles either. You do have to specifically ask for waterwhich I found to be a bit odd, but nonetheless I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Good food, good mood. Read more

Went in just before closing without realizing it, I offered to leave but the server was super nice and said it was no problem.... Food came unbelievably quick and I'm so glad I stopped in because it is fantastic food, couldn't have been better. I've been tothe Parksville one too and haven't been disappointed there either. Our ferry delayed for two hours so when we finally arrived in Nanaimo, we decided to go for lunch at Huong Lan. The restaurant... was packed at 12:30pm and people were still coming in so we waited for about 20 mins. Despite them being so busy, they still hadtime to sanitize all tables, chairs, menu, and even the condiments on the table. The food was surprisingly delicious, especiallythe spring roll.
