This location was not too busy at the time we visited, which was a little after 5:30pm. The staff was helpful and courteous. We... waited for what seemed an appropriate time for our food. The seasoning was a bit heavy handed on both the chicken and the steak,but good nonetheless. Refills were offered at regular intervals and a representative of management was making rounds to ensurewe were satisfied. This afternoon we went to Outback in Nags Head. We called ahead to say we were a group of 11 and what time we were coming and... they said okay. We got there and they only had 1 server (2 had called out) and were told it was going to be about a 40 minutewait. We were trying to decide what to do (because we had little kids with us) and the hostess came over and said someone justcame in and they could seat us in about 10 minutes. Boy are we glad we stayed!!! Our waitress, Susan, was phenomenal!!! She waspatient, she was great with add ons to our order when we had one of the kids change what they wanted and she kept our drinksrefilled without anyone asking!! She wasn?t annoyed that we were a large group and she visited us in between her other tables tomake sure we didn?t need anything. She was even great with the kids, making small talk with them. I usually love the French onion soup at Outback. However, if you look at the pictures you can see how burnt it is. I can?t... believe that they served this. I shears get this as one of my sides to go with my filet. I never have a problem requesting thisway before my meal because I take a while to eat the soup. This waiter told me he can?t do that abd that he has to put it all inat the same time in order for it to count as one of my sides. What???? So?then we were waiting for what seemed like foreverwhen we heard a loud crash from the kitchen. Next thing I know the chef is coming out to tell me that something went wrong withmy steak and he had to make it again. Eventually when I got it, I do not think it was a filet. Our waitress generally seemed like she wasn't happy with her job. I promise you she didn't smile not even 1 time. Food was... delicious though. The steak & burger were cooked exactly as we asked. Our 2 kids enjoyed their food as well. After we receivedour food the waitress came back once to ask if everything was good & it was & then didn't come back again until she gave us thecheck. We at that point had both been sitting with empty drinks for awhile & didn't even get 1 refill. My fiance is never one tocomplain but he mentioned she wasn't the best & hopefully if we are ever down in the area again we get someone different. The food and service was superb, impressive, delicious, hot, fresh, and all-around WONDERFUL! The Lobster Tail was off the hook... PERFECTION!! Mmm!! Anna was not only our friendly positive & attentive waitress; but, was also the bartender for the entirerestaurant! Awesome job ANNA!!! We also observed great teamwork amongst all the employees! We had an amazing experience! Our server Josh, was wonderful. He had a sweet smile and so friendly. The restaurant was low... on staff but they all worked together as a team to keep customers happy. We will def be back?. Great food, great service, greatteamwork!! Give 5 stars! Read more
