I cannot say enough good things about the Nags Head Cafe and the staff. The food was excellent. I had the chicken and biscuits... and it was spectacular. The potatoes are all individually and perfectly browned. My husband got the Nags Header and it wasperfect as well. The servings are generous. I also ordered the Chunky Monkey, frozen, from their new coffee menu and it was verygood. The person who mixed it was not the usual person and it was a little bit too frozen even though it was delicious. When myhusband decided to get one to go the waitress saw that I had a lot of ice left and ask if it was too icy. When I said yes shebrought me more to add to it when she brought my husband's drink. A great local family spot for breakfast and lunch! The staff are amazing and the food is just as good! The vibe is awesome...... decorated to match the historic Old Nags Head look of the historic building and lots of variety in seating (outside, booths,tables). The bar is solid, they have lots of different drink specials and use fresh squeezed oj! Classic breakfast drinks likeMimosas and Bloody Marys but also draft beers and alcoholic coffee drinks. This place is a neighborhood gem! It has a cute atmosphere, the staff are very nice, and the food was amazing & very reasonably... priced. I have food allergies and they were very good with them. Our waitress had food allergies as well. We came in forbreakfast. Their biscuits were very fluffy on the inside with a crunchy exterior. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly (notovercooked or too wet). My husband enjoyed the potato pancake. Everything was very tasty. They don't provide glasses of tapwater, only plastic bottles and that worked for me. Everything we ate was delicious. Our waitress was sweet and we were verycomfortable there. Can't wait to go back! The food is soooooo good!! Very friendly staff too! It?s a busy, small little cafe so you better get there early or you?ll have... to wait outside (We got there around 8am with no wait). It was a bit pricey for my family of six (almost $100????) but the foodwas delicious and convenient from our hotel. Read more

I'd be lying if I didn't say the food and cold brew weren't to die for ???? you will NOT be disappointed, the staff is also... amazing too! Don't worry. It may looks like a simple chicken biscuit gravy dish but it is increasingly well seasoned. The chicken is so juicy and has an... amazing breading, the fries taste like they were fried and baked, the gravy has a great pepper kick. Simply amazing! Read more
Went in at 830ish, was a bit skeptical because the place was almost empty.. (but it later became obvious we came in before... breakfast crowds). Ordered coffee and espresso shot. Not a bad price for the size espresso you get, and free coffee refills. Ourwaiter was nice and the staff was all friendly. Breakfast was wonderful! Got chicken n waffles and the avocado toast which wasamazing. Will definitely be coming back for breakfast for sure. :) Read more
