I?m in town from Buffalo. We love Pizza and Wings in Buffalo. Is this the best pizza I?ve ever had? No. Is it really great pizza... for North Carolina, you betcha. Heck, it?s better than most out of state pizza I?ve had. One thing that absolutely ASTONISHEDme was how CLEAN this man?s pizza shop was. I?ve never seen anything rival it. I worked in a pizza shop that took cleaningpretty serious but I?ve honestly never seen hoods, counters, fryers etc that were so spotless they looked brand new. I mentionedit and he pointed to a paper he had on the wall which showed he had a 100 score from the health inspector. Nice guy, superreasonable prices. Good pizza. Well, well, what a diamond I just found. Been working this stop into my pizza stop for a well rated pizza. What a great owner, a... one man operation that make everything from his own dough to his sauce to making sautéed mushrooms and no telling what else.Had a supreme which my wife likes, me I?m a cheese guy! Crust was off the hook good and the sauce had just that little bit oftang we like. Ive eaten most pizzas in the KDH and Nags Head area and this is tops of the chart. I?m calling Dave Portnoy andtelling him he needs to get here!! The crust was wonderful and just the right crisp. I saw one of their subs being made and thatis next on my list. Understand the wings are great also. One man operation and what a great job he does and what a greatconversation we were able to have before he got busy. Don?t hesitate in thinking about getting any of his food. What a great gemi have found and want everyone else to know. And just a final note, the sanitation was unbelievable, totally open so you canwatch every move he makes and you can easily see that everything is so clean you could almost eat off the floor. Great pizza. Crispy crust, stringy cheese and great toppings. This is a 1 man operation so follow his rules. I have been following this restaurant from our home in Greenville and it's owner for awhile now, planning to try them out on our... next vacation to the OBX, and let me tell you... the reviews are true! This place lives totally up to the hype! We ordered aSupremo and Buffalo Wings, and it was delicious!! I wish I knew what he does to make the crust both crispy on the outside butpillowy soft in the middle! He kindly greeted us upon entry, and we placed our order easily and efficiently, and not much of await time, but the small wait was worth it! The pizza toppings were fresh and cooked perfectly, the wings were spicy, but not sohot that you couldn't enjoy them, they come with your choice of ranch or blue cheese. There's barely words to say when you eat ameal that you can tell was made with love, but you just know. This is a one man show, and he does it all! I'm thinking we needto stop by again before we venture back home, but if we don't make it in time, I guarantee you this will be on our list for ournext visit, right at the top! Lots of places on the OBX will sell you a good pizza, and there are a very few that will sell you a great pizza. But there is... only one place that will sell you a "To Die For" pizza. Once you have experienced one of Madison's I believe you will agree. Perfect crust, unbelievably tasty marinara and the "Meat Lovers" is piled with different pizza meat toppings. I know that Ihave just switched my favorite pizza place on the OBX. After visiting another pizza place I loved for almost twenty years as itwas the best I had found up until Madison's. Give Brian a try...you will be glad you did! Just had my fourth pizza fromMadison's; my son and his family helped finish off a large Meat Lovers and a large Cheese a couple weekends ago. They alsoagree that Madison's is the best pizza they have ever had! My wife and I enjoyed our Meat Lovers as much this time as theprevious two. Consistency is the key to a successful pizza shop and Brian has it down to a science. Absolutely love his pizza! Read more
