Absolutely love this hotel. We booked a room for my hubby's birthday and our anniversary. The rooms are a nice size. The bed... was to die for. But let me tell you about the shower. It's a walk in glass shower. The shower head was just the right height andhad good hot water. Everybody was so nice and helpful Read more

Easily the nicest hotel between Nacogdoches and Lufkin. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bar and restaurants have... good food and are all clean and friendly. The rooms are clean, nice bathrooms, all recently refurbished with comfortable beds. The convention space has also been re-vamped and is perfect for a ballroom event. There are also 2 pools which would be greatfor a summer time visit. Read more

We were in town for a wedding and chose The Fredonia hotel because it was close to the reception. Upon arriving I was very... impressed with this architecture and hospitality. Very friendly staff and well maintained throughout. The room was nice but thebathroom was a little cramped. No shower door, which we thought was odd. My only complaint really isn?t directed toward thehotel, but the people in the room next to ours has their tv at full volume up until approx 4am. Again I don?t fault the hotelfor that. If we are ever in Nacogdoches, we will stay here again. Read more

I am shopping alone in Nacogdoches, Texas, today. I decided to check out the historic Fredonia Hotel, on a whim. The hotel is... large, for a town the size of Nacogdoches, and has many public spaces. The public spaces are cool and comfortable, in the heatof an East Texas summer. The hotel is very clean, and its restrooms are stocked. Due to the historical nature of theproperty, there is some wear and tear in the public spaces. While noticeable, the wear contributes to the atmosphere ratherthan detracts from it. The hotel's large, clean, free parking lot is well-lit. Some of the plants, at the main entrance to thehotel, are dying and/or dead, which isn't typically what a hotel wants guests to base their first impression upon. Read more

Enjoyed our stay at the Fredonia Hotel! Embracing the mid century vibes was a great idea for this little jewel in Nacogdoches.... It has been fully renovated from what it looked like 10 years ago. Air conditioning was cold and stayed cold, and the room, sheets, bathroom and floor were very clean. TV was able to watch YouTube or sign in with your own Netflix. We stayed in asmaller room option, which was not a problem for us; however, it may feel tight for two guests. (This is an old hotel, theybuilt them differently in the past!) Size up on a room if you need to. Definitely felt safe and had safe parking onsite. Employees were kind, but oddly sat in another room instead of at the front desk. Also, we called to request late checkout, which they honored, but then knocked on our door after normal check out time because it was not written on the correct formanyways. It was frustrating but the receptionist did apologize for her mistake. Read more

I was really looking forward to having lunch there. The hotel is very nice and the restaurant it is welcoming. Food was good. ... The appetizers were pretty expensive for what you actually got. Service was SLOW. But we really hope to go back and tryother dishes. Read more

Wonderful hotel, great rates, clean rooms, wonderful staff. Only thing NOT giving it 5 stars was the murky unclean pool.... Couldn't see the bottom of the pool at 3ft deep, debris and leaves floating around it them. Otherwise great stay, dog friendly.Would def come back for a stay when in the area. Read more
