First Time Ive Ever Gone there, and Last Time.. Walked in to Several empty Tables, But One Huge Table with 30 to 35 people. They... Turned us away .Apparently they had enough people in that party to pay the rent. You Wouldnt Think 2 more people Would stretchthem that thin.. Door dashed from this place and it was amazing. I ordered the pambaso and this is the first time that a place doesn't send it... out all soaked in sauce and falling apart. I was actually able to eat it without a fork. I also added a salad and the lettucewas very fresh and overall great. Reminds me of eating at home. Definitely ordering from here again. Read more

Update for a year later (June 2022): I still love Good Bites and go as often as I am able to. Even with nationwide inflation,... prices are still great. They recently upgraded their menu to a beautiful new multi-page layout and also have included so manymore options. I?m a huge fan of their new Huarache de Nopalitos which I included pictures of. I have never had nopalitos(prickly pear cactus pad) cuisine before, and it?s absolutely delicious. Vegetarian perfection! One of the absolute best localrestaurants around. Very clean dining area and open kitchen, and friendly staff. They offer a free margarita for guests (over21 years old of course) by request. They also now have gluten free buns for their sandwiches for those who need the option. Myboyfriend?s favorite item is the Dirty Pork sandwich which he orders almost every time. This is a wonderful family-owned spotthat shouldn?t be slept on! Stop frequenting boring chains and stop by Good Bites (often). All four dishes we had were great! We especially like the Birria Tacos with consomme dip: tender well seasoned meat, mouth... watering! Filling enough to split between us. The Huarache was very good with the fresh lettuce sprinkled on top. The Pupusahad the traditional taste and feel of corn masa. Don't forget dessert: the Tres Leches Cake was delicious! So we Google a good place to eat in Nacogdoches and this place popped up so ???? why not....called ahead to make sure they were... still open around 730 they don't close til 9 great. We arrived about 15 min later on the sign when we walked in said ask yourserver about free chips n salsa ???? ask your server about a free margarita ???? ???? sure did and let me tell you that salsawas great and a nice kick of heat in it, chips a Lil old but still not bad, the margarita was ok. The server wasn't too badother than the fact he didn't refuse to bring us our over cooked steaks. We order the ribeye medium-well, with two sides I hadasparagus and sweet potatoes.....everything was great up until the point we got our steaks. I have not had to use steak sauce inyears ???? ???? but even drowning it in it didn't help it at all. Our steaks were well done and crispy the edges were burnt. Theserver came by ask if everything was OK, I said yeah except they completely over cooked our steaks. He was like yeah, and didn'teven offer to replace them or nothing. Not his fault I think ???? ???? so we still left him a decent tip and most of my steakcovered in A1 sauce. You won't beat it. It's Mexican diner and it's super fun! The food is creative and delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful!... And the price is VERY affordable! We will be back?? Couple suggestions, a little less salt on the meat and offer a mild salsaoption. Read more

Finally gave Good Bites a try after seeing nothing but positive reviews. They did not disappoint. The service was quick and... staff was friendly. The portions were large and the food was good. They were out of a few things on the menu but there wasplenty more to choose from. Will definitely go back and try a few other dishes. Read more
