I just left here this evening. Overall, the food was just not, good. This establishment has been a Nacogdoches staple for years... and has been a reliable place for a balanced good meal. The brisket, although very tasty an tender, was cold. The catfish waswarm, but undercooked and was mushy. The salad bar selections were almost room temperature, i personally prefer a cold salad. Iusually go for the greens but tonight they were not broken down and lacked any flavor or seasoning. As a general rule everythingwas bland. Thete was some mushy dish that i assumed was chicken and rice, but even now i am not sure what i consumed. Mashedpotatoes are always good, the best thing tonight. Barnhill Steak and buffet, the name doesn't do it justice. It's a very unique place with some of the most tender brisket I've... tasted from a BBQ place. It is a quiet atmosphere, the a variety of bbq to choose from. The art on the walls is very authenticTexas. The prices were unbelievable for all I was getting.
