This is our favorite restaurant at which to eat when we drive south on the big island. The food is plentiful and delicious and... the service is friendly and helpful. As of 10-18-2022 they have not fully recovered from covid restrictions. You have to orderyour food to go, but when your order comes up you can take it inside and dine at a table. The food I'd worth it! Read more

It looks good but the rice was solid.?? The rice was hard and probably at least a day old. Crispy coconut shrimp was okay but... that was the only better tasting portion out of both the plates. We tried to eat it but we just didn?t think it was all worthit. We got a refund, they were cool about it & offered first. We went across the street for some katsu instead. Read more

Cute place with friendly staff! I had the BLT and it was made with homemade bread. There?s a little lizard that likes to hang... out on the picnic tables out front. He?s adorable but is not even a little bit scared of humans. I had to shoo him away a coupleof times but made for a very memorable meal! Read more

{FT Resident} After years of driving by, this was our first time eating at Hana Hou. Both the Gobbler Sub and the French Dip... were both tasty and the AuJus sauce was flavorful yet not too salty! We did not buy any baked goods but they all lookedwonderful. We felt that prices here were quite reasonable and the place seemed very clean inside and outside where we tookadvantage of nice weather to enjoy their outdoor seating area. This may have just become our new favorite place to eat inNa'alehu! Read more
