Wanted so much to give this 5 stars but the appetizers just aren't worth it. Ordered the calamari and there was a 9-1 ratio of... tentacles to rings; it should be the other way around. I'd deal with it but they were taken out of the fryer way too early; hadno crunch to it whatsoever and was too chewy to enjoy. Left about 40% of it untouched. Our truffle fries were the same: soggyand could have been better if fried just a little longer. The place is a hidden gem in Mystic that is right across from the water. I ordered the lemon chicken and the sauce was so creamy... and yum. It reminded me of chicken fried steak. The mashed potatoes were garlicky which i like. We also got the short ribs whichwere perfect and so flavorful. I was surprised with how much i liked the sautéed spinach and kale but everything was so freshand had great flavor. I wasn?t the biggest fan of the roasted grid with bread because it didn?t give much flavor but everythingelse was good. Read more

We love this place. Everytime we come up to CT to visit my father-in-law we take a trip to Mystic and have to eat here. The... environment in this building is unbelievable. Eating up top or in the bar down below is like stepping into a different world.The food is always delicious and they play great music too. I love the Lobster Mac and Cheese but everything is good. We ate downstairs at the bar area, our waitress was fast, quick witted and funny. The Brussels sprouts and onion soup to start... were delicious. The beers were cold and a nice selection, a good local selection. Ruben sandwich and skewers for dinner werealso very very good. Some banana cheesecake dessert was divine . Cozy, warm atmosphere, local ppl there dining were friendly andtalkative. Definitely will return when back in mystic. Read more
My wife and I read a great review regarding Captain Daniel pack are inn. Upon our arrival we were greeted promptly we were... early for a reservation,but they were happy to accommodate with a smile ???? Amazing history we were greeted by Michelle ourserver she seemed very happy to be there. The ambiance was fantastic the fireplace was lit, Michelle informed us of the historyof the in which dates back to the 1700s. Our meal was perfect and it's nice to see Michelle had a passion about her job and itwas a breath of fresh air after getting excuses after excuses about bad service due to covid at other establishments. Delicious food, great bartender. Everything we ate was amazing. First time I've ever had brussel sprouts that I couldn't stop... eating. These are NOT your mom's brussel sprouts. Lobster roll and tacos were both excellent also. Read more
