I've been vegan for 6 years and have had vegan food all over the country and world, this is THE WORST vegan food I have ever... had. by far. like, barely edible. Boba "tea" was just almond milk w syrup, the Boba was too soft and disgustingly chewy. the"chalupa" didn't even have cheese to hold the taco shells together and the meat is just a burger patty crumbled up. the onionrings were flavorless, cheese fries gave me a stomach ache and the mac and cheese was sooo greedy and all the cheese stucktogether in one big pile. if you're vegan PLEASE go somewhere else cus this ain't it. Absolutely LOVE this place!! There is something for everyone but if you're vegan, this is the place to go! They have TONS of... plant based options! Excellent selections for carnivores as well. The kids menu also has vegan and non vegan "kid" favorites.Portions are very generous and you'll want to order everything so plan to get "to-go" (styrofoam) boxes LOL A large variety ofbeverages (more than one diet choice), as well as smoothies, bubble tea, milkshakes, and more. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and relaxing. Staff was very friendly, remembered our prefer without writing it down, and cooked it perfectly! We willdefinitely be back!! Read more
We stopped in right as it opened, as we read that dishes are made to order and there is only one chef. She wasn't quite ready... for us even though we came a few minutes after opening. There was one server and one chef only. Chef seemed a bit frazzled andshe was a bit gruff in her handling our questions. We were there because of her "vegan" options, but be forewarned...if you aretruly vegan, you may not want to have any of the fried dishes, such as the nuggets, as she puts everything in the same oil. Thedishes we had were pretty tasty, so I hope the service can improve. Our waitress was lovely and did a wonderful job trying tokeep up with everyone, but she was only one person. Some customers left or changed their orders because food prep took so long. She did offer vegetarian/vegan options that we were comfortable eating...veggie burger, cheesy mac and cashew cheese, but weprobably wouldn't go back. The tiny place did get crowded quickly, if you go, just expect to be there a long time. It tookabout an hour until we got our meals. Read more
A hidden gem! A must go to. Superb food, drinks and staff. There are vegan plates, platters, drinks and desserts. I endulged in... the Hipster Burger and the Hawaiian Latte. My plus 2 had the unicorn waffle; macncheese. Honey dew Boba tea; chicken fish tacos. The portions are huge! Prices are reasonable. Cafe is clean. Love the relaxing turquoise walls and the music choice. Was awonderful experience as we are traveling through. Read more

Pay very, very close attention to all of the reviews (including mine) that discuss the incredibly long wait times at The Water... Tree Cafe. Apparently this is how this business operates all the time, and isn't seasonal, etc. The cafe is small, butwelcoming. There is only one employee, the owner. I learned after we arrived and had been there awhile that she clears thetables, takes the orders, and cooks all food to order. They do have a dine-in business as well as a takeout business. As aresult, some of the tables may be messy when you arrive and you may have a long wait to have her take your order and/or refilldrinks. We ended up being at the cafe for over two hours by the time everything was said and done. It took more than 90minutes for any food to come out, and none of our drinks were refilled during that 90 minutes. Had I known that this wait timeswould be so long, I wouldn't have ordered an appetizer. The owner did not communicate how long things would take, and didn'tcheck in with us often. I think that our expectations could have been much better managed with upfront communication fromher. I perceived that our wait times were even longer because some takeout orders came in after we arrived and while we werethere. The people who came in to order takeout in-person were served their food before we were. We arrived at 2:00 p.m. andwere told that none of the quiches were available, which I thought was odd since the cafe opens at 12 Noon. I am vegan, so Iwas happy to see that there were so many options for me. I was visiting the cafe with two people who are omnivores, so it wasnice that there were options that they were happy with, too. All three of us commented that the food was delicious. The ownerclearly is an excellent chef and uses good, fresh ingredients in her dishes. The food gets five stars. The slow service andlack of communication is significant enough to bring my review down to three stars. My main constructive feedback wo Read more
