Came here for the first time and it was good. The food was good and service was nice. Only thing I have to say about this place... was that I was disappointed that there were no lobsters, oysters, or raw shrimp. So I just ate fried shrimp which wasn’t badat all. Came for a family dinner while on vacation. We were seated immediately (a group of 12), the food is amazing. Cepheria was our... hostess and she was amazingly accommodating. The crab tastes so good, there is no need to use the provided drawn butter. Theyhad an available 20% off coupon which reduced the $50 to $40 per person. We visited SC for a week and was excited to try some seafood. Made this our first location to eat after checking into our... airbnb so we were hungry and anticipating to splurge on seafood. Overcooked mediocre food with not enough food options for theprice. Lacking the freshness I was hoping for. Crab legs were either overcooked or not fresh enough where it would easily pullfrom the shell after cracking open. Not enough sides and only about 2 real lines of food excluding desserts for a buffet thatcharges $50/person. I know seafood is expensive, but I've had better experiences for similar prices in MN casinos or Vegasbuffets. The steak was cooked but left on the warmer full of broth/juices, so it was overcooked and dry to the bite. Should'vebeen made fresh off the grill. Most of the things deep fried like shrimp were over fried and too dry and crispy. Dessertsfelt like gas station quality. In a weird way, this was worse than if a Golden Corral attempted to have a seafood buffet. Coincidentally, I ended up eating at their local Golden Corral a few days later and was pleasantly approved their steak there asyou could at least order it fresh off the grill. And the food was fresher there. Made the mistake of assuming higher pricesseafood buffet in the area would mean better quality and was wrong (spent over $250 for our whole group). Don't go last hour. Early bird gets the worm here for the last hour. Disappointed they won't even fill up empty pans at 10pm.... Can't enjoy the dessert. Paid full price for cleaned up and empty pans displayed. Waiter wasn't even in sight. FYI you need tolisten extra carefully the lady up front whispers like a mouse. You have to pay a tip % for a party of 6. If you miss understandabout the demand of a tip on your receipt that they could but won't easily change for you. you will be threatened by themanager. The manger made a scene that she'll call the police on us because we won't pay the tip%. It shouldn't be a demand onlyfew can barely afford to splurge for a family. Their price was different on their automated answering machine when you call. The hostess basically told me I needed to listen... to it again. The food was good. The lines were long. They also added a 15% gratuity because we were a party of 6 which was a bitmuch as was the photographer walking around taking your photo while you’re trying to eat and then trying to sell you thephotos.
