I was here for the first time ever with 3 friends last weekend who had all been here several times before. We came in Thursday... and Friday nights and we all got to sing several songs each. I was blown away by all the great singers! Everyone sang well. Idon't think there was one person who sounded bad or couldn't carry a tune! We'll, one person yelled in the microphone morethan she sang but we all had such a great time both nights! I had a chicken quesadilla that was pretty good and a bucket of budlight. Ducky was super sweet and fun! She was an awesome karaoke host and we felt very welcomed by her, all the locals, andtourists! It was as if we were regulars who hang out there all the time. Everyone was very friendly and stopped by our table totalk which made me feel at home and comfortable with my surroundings. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in MyrtleBeach for fun and sun! Read more
Went for karaoke. Had a great time. Very nice local crowd. Ducky is an awesome dj. Plays dance music in between singers. Food... smelled really good but did not eat this time. Read more
First time eating here was last week. Very friendly bartender & atmosphere but my God the wings were borderline awful. I got... them mild, they had no seasoning and a very faint saucing. 10 wings with one half filled ranch. They are so friendly I wanna goback but I'm a chicken wing connoisseur and these just did not hit. Will definitely going back soon though. Read more
At first...it seems inviting and high energy. However I was with my boyfriend and 2 brothers and they went outside to wait as my... boyfriend and I finished up our drinks. My brother comes back in frantically saying we need to go, someone just tried to run himover in the driveway. Me and my boyfriend jumped up, and ran outside to see a white BMW in the parking lot. This white BMWtried to run my brother over, then as we left very anxiously, the BMW driver followed us and tried to cut me off. Luckily he wasso drunk he ended up almost wrecking himself. Regardless I had to maneuver and drive through a town I'm not comfortable with infear of my life. None the less this place is racist. If you are anything but white, or white culture don't go here. There wereblack people however they were accustomed to white culture. Very disappointed. Read more
As far as I'm concerned, Best bar and grill in the Myrtle Beach area!! Food is amazing, service is awesome, and the people are... very welcoming. Very first vacation ever, and they made us feel very much at home. Awesome Karaoke every night, and the peopleare the coolest you'll ever know. Do yourself a favor and make a stop at Pop's place!! You won't regret it, I promise. Will bea stop for us every time we're in South Carolina. Read more
Perfect place to go if you want to avoid tourist traps. I was expecting average bar food but the grilled chicken sandwich was... absolutely delicious. Clyde, the bartender, was friendly and funny and all of the regulars were very nice. It doesn't takevery long to feel at home. The owner even thanked me for coming in. They do have the Confederate Flag displayed a few placesbut it seems more for a historical than for meaning as it was at one time the state flag of South Carolina and didn't seem toaffect another regular patron who is African American. I will definitely go back on my next trip to Myrtle Beach. Read more
Loved this place! Hakeem? Not sure if I'm spelling that right but he was an excellent karaoke dj. I was little worried at first... there weren't too many people there so I didn't know what to expect. But a small crowd made it easier to start singing my heartout. By the time I left the place seemed pretty busy! I'm very shy and been told I'm tone death. However I love to sing in theshower. I've only done karaoke one other time that I remember in public and that been eight years ago. I'm glad I found Pop'sPlace. It was about a mile from my hotel. I got to do four songs in the three hours I was there. I came alone and had peoplewalking up to me to talk and tell me how good I was doing. I only live about an hour twenty minutes from Pop's and I plan to tryand do this more often even if I don't stay the night .. the natural buzz I got off of having so much fun... Local karaoke bar. Starts karaoke very night at 8 pm like clockwork. Serves American food, beer, drinks. Atmosphere is down home... comfy with friendly folks. KJ Duckie is the bomb! She keeps up the rotation with her great sound system. I'd definitely returnwhen in town! Read more
