As with most reviewers, if your looking to have someone say welcome, thanks, what would you like to order or a que from anyone,... it isn?t gonna happen here. The White haired guy loves to just stare at you until you say something, and the other 2 guys arepretty much the same. The BBQ was really the same as anywhere else and the Mac-n-cheese pretty normal and bland. Was reallylooking forward to tasting some Carolina BBQ but felt let down. Tried the chicken as well but Meh?. If you want normal or justMeh this might be for you. Fast in and out as long as you engage the people behind the stand. Read more
We were there 2 years ago when they were in North Myrtle beach location. We were pleased then and still are now when they are... in new location. Meat is little dry but their house sauce makes it better. Will come back when we are in town again. Read more
2022 Still hiding the Carolina-style BBQ sauce, gotta ask. Had the brisket plate, creamed spinach (a little salty) and potato... casserole. Also, didn't notice before but they offer customers a free ice cream cone, more like ice milk, but refreshing. Thedinner bread roll has shrunk a little, was a bit dense. Kids eat free on Sundays. 2021 Pretty good BBQ. Despite being a chainand Texas-style as opposed to Carolinas, Dickey's beats many of the local BBQ places. Consistent quality. Decent pricing. Lovethe pulled pork and beef brisket. The creamed spinach, fat green beans, and baked potato casserole were tasty! The sauces in thecondiment area tasted a bit sweet with different degrees of heat, all red. They do have Carolina mustard-based sauce, but youhave to ask. Suggest they add Carolina vinegar pepper sauce to accompany the pulled pork. The baked beans were ho-hum. Freshbrewed Ice tea is very refreshing. Interior is clean and the staff is friendly. They are not far from Broadway at the Beach,north on 17, and much more affordable than most Broadway eateries. We plan to return every time we are on that side of Myrtle. Read more

I was in the mood for some ribs. Came by Dickey's because I've heard they have great ribs. They must be really good because... they were out of them. That was the whole reason why I went there was to try the ribs. I understand with all the food shortageand not finding people to work, is why I didn't lower star rate. I was also disappointed there was no more sweet tea. This isthe south that's what we drink with our BBQ. The staff was friendly the food was OK. The chicken wings were small and dry. Ilike the thick juicy wings. I'm not sure were the smoke flavor went in the beef brisket there was no flavor at all but you couldtell it was smoked because of the smoke ring. The pulled pork was over cooked in my opinion. It was dry and somewhat chalk liketexture. With all that being said take into consideration I did go an hour before they closed so the stuff I got could have beenin warmers all day. I'm pretty sure if I would togo around lunch the food would be better and they would have ribs and sweettea. Read more
I asked one of the neighbours for their fave restaurant/fast food mac n cheese!!! Was really feeling it tonight for some... reason Cost me about 20$ for a kids meal, a regular meal + a large side of ?Chili Mac? lmao went all out here cause it was 20%off when you spend 15$ ;) Uhhh idk how I felt about the mac n cheese, I guess like any mac n cheese the calories are going tobe really high? Beats many of the local South Carolina and North Carolina BBQ places, even though Dickey's Barbecue Pit is a Texas franchise.... Nothing fancy at meats are smoked and tender. I usually get a plate with 2 or 3 meat choices, with sides of slaw and beans -all pretty tasty. Service is usually quick and fairly priced. I highly recommend the brisket. And don't forget the FREEself-serve Ice Cream cone when you are done with your meal! Read more
