The atmosphere was ok. Although I loved their Christmas tree, but the energy was dull. A little outdated. The appetizer was good... (Ahi Tuna). Got the Special entree of the day, which was the Lobster Pasta. The lobster tasted fishy. Didn’t finish my plateand asked to return it, and the hostess was nice enough to take it back. Don’t see myself going back. Read more

I do not like leaving negative reviews however, this one is totally necessary. The restaurant definitely needs a total remodel.... It is so outdated. The service was okay. The food....well, My nephew said his steak was good. The bacon wrapped scallopappetizer was good as well. My sister had the shrimp and grits. It was awful. My brother-in-law and I had the broiled seafoodplatter. The crab cake was disgusting. There was so much filler and no crab! It literally tasted like Thanksgiving dressing. Theshrimp was overcooked. The fish was just okay. The scallops were delicious. We were all in agreement, we will never go back. Don't waste your time and or money! It was way too expensive for the cruddy food we received. $255.00 plus a $51.00 tip. Onanother note, the young man behind the counter on the left when entering was very RUDE. No excuse for rudeness! ESPECIALLY TOPAYING CUSTOMERS!???????????? Read more

Nice place that overlooks a pond that provide wildlife entertainment from turtles jumping off a platform, a hawking fishing, a... bird swimming underwater and poking his head up like a telescope every now and then, to a crane skimming the pond water. Mainmeals -- lobster tail and chicken piccata -- were very good as were blackened shrimp and fried pickles appetizers. Salads weredisappointing. Second visit one year later. This time treated to two alligators in the pond. Lobster tail ordered againand very good. Chicken Colorodo was a huge portion and good, sadly, not spectacular. Salads are mostly lettuce. Service good. Read more

I seldom offer five stars for a restaurant unless the experience was truly exceptional, and Chestnut Hill was every bit... exceptional! The restaurant is nestled beside a pond with an elegant dining room and a great view of the water. They started usoff with fresh-baked Cheesy Biscuits and Blueberry Mini-Muffins that melted in our mouths. For an appetizer we got the She-Crab& Sherry Soup. It was creamy and full of flavor. The sherry came thru without overpowering the delicate she-crab. Next was agarden salad with the most scrumptious house made Honey-Lime dressing. The dressing took the fresh salad ingredients to anotherlevel. For the main event, my wife had the Salmon Shrimp Provencale - grilled Salmon with a Shrimp Scampi sauce served overMushroom & Spinach Ravioli. It was fantastic. I couldn’t decide between the fresh Flounder or the 12oz Angus Ribeye - so thewaiter found a way to give me both! The Flounder was tender and flaky and the Ribeye grilled to a perfect medium-rare wasflavorful and fork-tender. We topped it off with a slice of authentic Key-Lime pie that was out of this world! Chestnut Hillisn’t inexpensive, but it’s definitely worth every penny of the cost. If you visit North Myrtle Beach and want a greatdining experience, you’ll not be disappointed at Chestnut Hill.
