Sadly, I can?t recommend this restaurant and I usually don?t right negative reviews. However, we had a couple of issues and the... manager?s response was very disappointing. We sent back an undercooked cauliflower appetizer. The good news is that you knowthey batter them there instead of buying frozen. The bad news is that they didn?t cook them long enough and there was raw batteroozing out of the bigger pieces. Unfortunately, my very hungry teenage boys had eaten most of the pieces before we realized it.So when we sent back an example of the undercooked ones the manager came out and said it was ?thrust at her and she had no ideawhy it came back, and that since there was only one piece on the platter they would only give us one additional piece instead ofanother full appetizer?. This miscommunication probably happened because we had to send the appetizer back with a food runnerbecause we had not seen our server since he took our order and brought drinks to the table. We explained that that was not ourintention at all and we just wanted to make the kitchen aware so they could avoid it happening again. As previously mentioned,our server never came back so we had to get drink refills ourselves from the bar. When we spoke with the manager, we told herall of this and there was basically no response and no correction?our server was still MIA. On a side note, my 70 year oldmother in law initially asked for lemon with her water and, after forgetting the lemon, our server kindly brought her two slicesbut they were in his hand instead of on a napkin. He clearly needed more training and I fear he won?t get it from theirmanagement. We understand the demands of the service industry. We?ve ?been there done that? so we still tipped our server 20%but we?ll never go back. Read more
The food was delicious. Service was great. Two issues i had was the credit card surcharge that they are charging which in the... past has been a cost of doing business. Second issue I had was my fish and chips (cod fish) was $25 for two 4-6 inch fingeringsand some fries. Way too expensive for that. Read more
Servers where nice. The shrimp was amazing. BUT, everything was dirty! First beers came out in dirty glasses. Plates for the... shrimp came out dirty. One plate had actual crumbs still all over it. We ordered 2 flights of beers and the glasses were dirty.My girlfriend rubbed actual lipstick prints off of one glass. Besides the fact that nothing is being cleaned. They had one of the best burgers I've had in a long time! Their Italian cheese curds in marinara was so delicious I thought... about ordering another one for my meal. Their service was OUTSTANDING! Kate our server made us feel like we were VIP's! She wasexceptionally charming! Her prompt customer service on top of everything else made this whole experience one of my top 5 dinnersI've been to. Personable staff and a really great big open atmosphere! They share the kitchen with Roosters restaurant & Bar but the... atmosphere in both is very different. Roosters is more mom and pop smaller diner feel whereas the Tap house is a sports bar feelwith a restaurant inside. The food was all really good. The chips & salsa ???? was too small of a portion for $12 but otherwisethe prices for the rest of the dishes were reasonable. Chips and fish were delicious and everyones meal was equally enjoyed.
