There was no long wait before our order was taken. They are friendly & answered questions that we had. First you place your... order, find a table (indoor/outdoor) & they bring you your food. I really wanted to love Flower Child -- after all, with such cute decor, an amazing menu of healthy options (including plenty of... plant-based choices), and an adorable name, this place seemed to tick all the boxes. While the inside of the restaurant wasindeed decorated beautifully, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered their chopped vegetable salad with tofu and it wasall just very...average. Despite the flurry of vegetables that the menu said the salad was supposed to have, it was definitelyvery lettuce-forward -- the other toppings were all piled on top (and, even so, still looked pretty lackluster) and the entirebottom 3/4 of the salad was just plain lettuce. The tofu was also pretty bland. It was "marinated," but it felt like themarinade only penetrated about 0.1 millimeters of the tofu, and the rest of the slice had very little flavor. Although $14 is apretty average price to pay for a salad in DC, it felt way overpriced for what was basically a bowl of lettuce and unseasonedtofu. What bothered me most about the experience, though, was that not everything was fresh -- I found several pieces of wiltedlettuce (some of which had become yellow, some of which had completely shriveled down into a rotten mess) and two of the veryfew snow peas they provided had mold on them. I don't mind a bland salad, but I do mind a salad that has the potential to makeme sick...All in all, Flower Child was cute, but really didn't live up to the hype. I might give one of their bowls a try if Ihave to come back, but, honestly, I was pretty disappointed by the overall experience and I'll probably try to avoid coming hereagain. Read more
My date and I went here for the time tonight for dinner and it was nice! We were attracted to overall vibe of the restaurant.... It?s almost a blend of fast casual and casual sit down restaurant. It has this fun, colorful and conscious vibe. Food - we gotthe bowls with protein added. They were tasty. It?s different from chipotle and cava in a global taste way. The drinks were blahand basic. Bathroom- clean and tidy! Overall, it?s a nice fast casual restaurant that I would eat at again. I would recommendthis restaurant for a quick bit to eat. Read more
Definitely not worth the money spent. Ordered Turkey & Avocado Cobb, in which I could hardly - really hardly - find any turkey... and avocado. The dressing was nice, though. This is just another salad bar claiming to offer fancy healthy food. There aredefinitely better options out there. Read more

I got the grilled chicken thigh yaki noodles. Although the portionseemed large I found myself hungry within an hour. It?s very light. The flavor was also ok, nothing amazing. My friend got thetofu wrap which she enjoyed. It?s a good place for a quick lunch, but didn?t feel anything stand out to me. Read more
