Spring House is a family oriented restaurant out along business 17. I would highly recommend coming here for breakfast if you... have a large family. The prices are much more reasonable than many of the more touristy locations you may find. We try on ayearly basis to come here the first day we arrived to garden City. The best dining experience my family has had EVER. The waitress/server was amazing. The food was awesome. The prices were... great and they even provided a military discount with a very genuine heartfelt gratefulness for service. We came for the gyros, but we?re sadly disappointed. They are not very big and you may want to request extra tzatziki sauce.... However they have homemade blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing, and that totally saved the day. Read more

Very nice place. Breakfast was real good and a reasonable price. Way better than the Egg restaurant down the road. Our waitress... Brittany was real nice and made you feel like you were at home. Judging by the amount of vehicles in the parking lot this restaurant has a steady flow of customers or the likes of regulars... that hang around for a long time. Either way, one is always welcomed to a complete menu offering breakfast or lunch. Thestandard breakfast fare of eggs, buttermilk pancakes, Belgian waffles, breakfast sandwiches and biscuits, a good number ofomelets and a whole lot more are for your choosing. My choice was the Carolina Omelet with onions, peppers, bacon, mushrooms,sausage, ham and cheddar cheese that came hot. Ingredients are minimally, as the 3 egg omelet was pretty thin and not realflavorful. Good texture with a side of pancakes that were fluffy and sweet. Food came fast and service was friendly. Theinterior is dated with adequate spacing of colorful booths and tables, plenty of greenery hanging about and yes, if one looks toup the white railing, one will find a bird in a cage. Read more
