When it first opened, it was amazing. Now, we can officially say we would rather go to Mr. B's then go here again - which is... kind of sad. It is half way cheaper, we get better service (somehow), and they aren't out of everything every time we go. I justwant to warn you, I still love this place- they just broke my heart with how far they have fallen. Some of the waitresses hereare incredible, however, there aren't many on deck which is terrible for the waitresses on a busy night. I feel terrible forthem. Not all are customer friendly though, we had this waitress that had an attitude and when we said we were leaving afterbeing ignored for 45 minutes and then our order being taken, she huffed and walked away. Plus, the bartender is not exactlyfriendly if you are a regular customer. We have given this place multiple chances- we said we would never go again and we did.We are still disappointed. Dry expensive food, and they never have anything that you wanted originally. Go somewhere else beforeyou fall in love with it, and then get your heart shattered. I hope they do great though, I hear they are moving to a newbuilding (congrats y'all!). We may go back if we hear that they are doing better with stock, have more kind waitresses, and havebetter food. Read more

First time visit last night. The place was relatively busy - we didn't know but they were having an open mic event. But service... was great, our server Olivia was sweet and attentive. The food was some of the best we've had in Murray and came to the tablesurprisingly quickly. Loved the barbecue and slaw sandwich and tempura shrimp appetizer. Read more

My absolute favorite place to eat in Murray. The staple food on the menu is always delicious, and the specials are sometimes... even better! Everything I?ve ever ordered here has been fantastic and at a reasonable price. Brunch is also a must have, thechicken and waffles are my personal favorite (I?ve never had a waffle as good as Hop Hound!) Let me start with saying the service was fantastic, the beer was very good and the brisket special was very tasty. However this... place is advertised is as a dog friendly place. Hence its name. However you can't bring dogs inside which is obvious becausethey serve food, and outside Was completely in the sun with no shade whatsoever. Not hospitable for dogs or humans. Our serversaid the umbrella's blew away. How about a nice shade or or even a standing fan would help. We were looking to spend theafternoon but we finished our beer and headed over to to Tap 216 which has a very nice covered area. Rode down with a couple buddies to try the beers because one had heard it was good. It was almost full inside for Saturday... lunch. This place is something special. We all thought it was the best food we've had in a while. Brisket Taco's, Brisket cheesesandwich, a bunch of appetizers, almost every house beer made it to our table. To say it was good is an understatement. The waitstaff was great. I should have told the owners how good everything was at the time, but here it is now. It wasexcellent. Lately I am convinced these smaller are the places to go. The kitchen is 20 feet away, food gets to you while hot,and the people working there are more invested in the success, and the owners are there working. Support your localentrepreneurs. Read more

Ate at Hop Hound Brew in Murray today for the first time and I will not be back. Got here around 11:35 and was excited to see... the brunch menu. My favorite all time food is eggs Benedict. The picture online had me drooling! I couldn?t wait to getit. When it arrived, I had 1/2 slice of bacon on each piece, a slice of tomato that was the size of a quarter, and an egg oneach piece that barely covered the English muffin. And one of the eggs was hard boiled instead of runny like normal. Got thewaitress to bring me some more bacon but upon closer inspection, I realized there was barely any Hollandaise sauce and no chiveson top. I asked to leave the lettuce off, but was sorely disappointed in what I got. It was pitiful looking and I realize thatthere was only 10 minutes left to brunch by the time our food came out, but it should have looked more like the photo belowwhich is what they bragged about! I told our waitress I would just order something else since I was so disappointed init. Well then ? the manager comes over and she was already on the defense I guess. I explained to her like I did the waitress,that what I got looked nothing like the picture. You could tell she was getting huffy with me and basically told me it didn?tlook like the picture because I asked to leave the lettuce off. I was like no? that?s not it. It has almost no sauce and nochives on top and literally no bacon on it. So in a huff she says ? well brunch is over now so?. At this point I?m like, nevermind. I?ll just order something else, so she snatches my plate up in a huff and walks off. So I said forget it. We paid forwhat we ate and we left. Won?t make that mistake again. I got warm friendly greeting from this waitress. I felt bad that I didn't know her name because I didn't catch it. She was great... when she served me the flight of beers. Those beers that I had were great! Then I had fried pickles with ranch and it isdelicious and quite spicy but I love it. I will recommend to people to visit here. Read more
